Не знаю какой бомж делал эту игру... но такого говна я давненько не видел.
Let's start saying i got a key for free from the dev of DeadTruth and, unfortunately for him, I didn't quite like the game. I don't have much playtime nor any achievement unlocked (that's because they got added later) but that's enough, at least to me, for write this review. Another word for the dev: he's been very kind, not only for the free game, but also because he listened to my bug reports replying nicely all the time, both in the game's forum and private chat. That being said, the game didn't get and update for a while now and I don't think it's getting any more: the last time I've seen the dev online was more than 40 days ago. But let's talk about the game, shall we? The story it's pretty clear from the start, but still it's pretty boring and I ended up playing not because I wanted to know what was going to happen next but because I felt bad for abandoning the game after only one and a half hour. The eniemies are tedious. As other people stated in the game's discussions they're more annoying than scary. The first enemy you are going to encounter are two dogs, closed in a bloody maze of dark and tight corridors that you will have to travel in order to find a valve. These two dogs are going to kill you over and over with an orrible attack animation, without being scary at all. The environment it's probably the worst thing in the game. The rooms' style completely change crossing one door: you are in a dark and humid cellar? Well, cross that door and you'll find a perfectly tidy, illuminated high tech room with a door that will bring you to another humid and dark cellar! Bugs and glitches, lots of them. The worst being the loss of batteries in the case of death, so if you live long enough to consume all your batteries and then die, well... good luck roaming the rooms in the dark. DeadTruth: The Dark Path Ahead it's the first, and probably last, episode of DeadTruth. A game that tries to emulate Outlast and Amnesia: The Dark Descent failing, in a pretty bad way.

Hello fellow gamers! I'd like to give my opinion about this game, it's just an opinion =) . Taking in consideration this game was totally made by just one person, which means design, programming, music, sound effects, the game plot, story and some other points on, I'd like to say: Pros: -The story plot it's very clear since the beginning until the end; -The graphics aren't the best in the world, but like this, it give us some of the "gore" aspect of the game; -Some scenes are shown, they are very interesting and very realistic; -The insane state it's very awsome; -And, for people who like to see some jumpscares, the game have a quite. Cons: -Overall game shadows, some of the item, are pixelated and the protagonist character "us" doesn't have a shadow; -The game puzzles and such as discovering items are way very dificult, the game has a lot of "stuckers"; -The enemies that exist in the game are way too powerful and we need to find ways to kill them (This can actually be an interesting thing, up to each one of you, hehe); -The batteries are not renewed after you die, that means, if you die a lot of times, you end up without battery. -The lockers actually are there, but they don't have much usage, since you can only hide in them before you get noticed by the enemies. And that's all! Thank you so much for this game =)
解密难到反人类的游戏,过程虽然享受,不过首先你得有个东西叫耐心 这游戏就算会英文也会难到爆炸,不会英文就差不多可以放弃了 看着通关视频有时也不一定管用哦,不过这个好评是得给的
Positive Merkmale:

Features: - Getting stuck in the level geometry and furniture. - Night vision runs out fast to simulate the dangers of careless battery shopping, discouraging irl urban explorers. - First encounter is ordinarily looking dogs that politely proceed to play paw with your ankles. The speed at which they do this, is slow so that it doesn't overwhelm the human, but not slow enough not to hinder valve repairs. - A wide selection of random quotes that can have many applications and no direct relation with the happenings on screen. (I wonder what Edgar Allan Poe would do without a light source and a trip wire placed at waist height.) - Loading screens upon door inspection. Empty rooms included.
Why do I do this to myself?
I tried to get on with this game but its just annoying. If there is anything on the floor like boxes cones etc I get stuck, in episode 2 I find myself in a dark room and there are 2 doors which say I need a key or break the door down great I find an axe and a key and then a dog had entered the room luckily for me I have an axe, but NO the axe doesnt touch the dog having tried 4 times to hit the damn thing. So the Deadtruth is I cannot recommend that you buy this its a Dark Path Ahead to annoyance and frustration.
Overview:
'DeadTruth: The Dark Path Ahead' is a first person horror game about a man by the name of Michael Anderson that experienced multiple tragedies from losing his parents as well as his wife in a car accident to the disappearance of his brother that eventually threw him into a spiral of darkness and depression. On the verge of not being able to contain himself, he resorted to drug use and ended up turning into a hollow shell of himself. Playing in his shoes, join him as he ventures out for unexplained reasons as there is no explanation as to where he's going or why he's going there. I assume he's trying to look for his brother as the first bit is him returning to his brothers old workplace but sadly this is as much as you'll discover and I'll explain why.
Gameplay:
Now we get to the disappointing part. 'DeadTruth: The Dark Path Ahead' is one of those unpolished horror games that is barely playable. The entire basis of playability relies solely on luck. What I mean is that when starting to play the game, you might not be able to do anything. You won't be able to open doors, pick up objects or perform any action that you need to progress out of the very first room. I however was luckily enough to start the game without any issue and was able to interact with items. But even then, interacting with stuff is finicky and sometimes you have to be right in front of something to pick it up. I was able to progress as far as what I believe is the third or fourth area (which is not very far). The fact that it's possible to be stuck in the first room of the game because of extremely faulty game programming is already a flag red enough to avoid this game. How do you overlook such a game breaking flaw? That's not it either. soon after my lucky roll of just being able to play the game, I was met with another unfortunate fate. Being stuck in limbo because I potentially missed an item from a previous map I no longer had access to. So, what happens exactly when you play a game where items are of great importance such as batteries? You explore the area and check every nook, cranny and door to see what works and what doesn't so you know you didn't miss anything. Well I did exactly this and ended up accidentally progressing, missing an entire room that I believe had something I needed for the next area. But now that I'm in the next area, I no longer have access to go back. My point? Why allow the player to progress if they don't have the items needed for the next area? Having a message stating that I'm missing something would have helped, you did it in the beginning, why not now? Now that I'm stuck in limbo, I was forced to restart the game. Alright, no problem, I don't mind restarting if it means I can get what I need to progress. But then comes another gripe, the inability to skip cutscenes. This makes the process of restarting even more gruelling than it needs to be. If I've seen it before, let me skip it please. Yet I digress, I decided to suck it up and give the game the benefit of the doubt cause honestly, it was not looking good for the game at this point. So I finally loaded in and this is where I discovered the game breaking bug. I was not able to interact with anything as previously mentioned and I was not about to put myself through the same slow and tiring cutscene for the third time. This is essentially where I pulled the plug on the entire game because if this is what it's like in the first 15 minutes of the game, I don't even want to know what other problems lie ahead. I also read that many players seem to have an issue with the part where you fight 2 wolves and supposedly it's incredibly difficult. It was so difficult that the developer actually agreed saying that it was actually too difficult but had no intention of adjusting it and instead said something along the lines of "I'll do better in the future" so I think it's safe to say this project is abandoned. That certainly doesn't help its case.
Controls:
They either work or they don't. Extremely broken and can determine whether or not the game is playable. This is an extremely huge red flag and if the game can't stably function, then you know there's trouble.
Graphics:
Now this is something I can at least appreciate. The visuals are detailed, immersive and gives a sense of atmosphere. The lighting and shading are great and compliment the environment and setting the game aims for. The only gripe I have here is that it's too dark in some places. I know there's a flashlight function that you're supposed to use but when many of the areas are practically pitch black, then it creates a problem if certain scenarios arise. What if you run out of batteries?
Audio:
Also not too bad, more ambience than anything. Sound effects are fine and don't stray away from the mood or setting the game attempts to put out. Music is lacking but makes up in ambience which can be good or bad. In this case it isn't bad. It may differ later in the game but good luck getting there without the game conking out on you.
Conclusion/TL;DR:
'DeadTruth: The Dark Path Ahead' is a broken first person horror game where just being able to play the game is a coin flip in itself. The graphics and audio although nice don't make up for the abysmal control system that chooses when it wants to work and cripples overall gameplay. Other game breaking bugs litter the game on top of a severe difficulty issue where even the developer states is a problem. Avoid despite the lack of cost as time is also a vital resource.
Game looked good but played like garbage. A bit clunky on controls and overall the game kind of got boring real fast.
This is my personal impression. The game appeared in late January and was somewhat different at first. The beginning was a little different and there were other rooms to enter. All Youtube videos I have found are still based on this version. My version was the 1.6! I have often read that it is compared with Outlast. I myself have not played Outlast yet and therefore can not say anything about it. However, I had my fun with this game. Of course, you can not compare it with big titles, since it is still a small developer. BUT I had email contact with the developer because of a problem and I was immediately helped. He also seems to be very hard to fix problems. As far as the game is concerned .... as already mentioned it is from a small developer and it does not work everything smoothly. Graphically, there are certainly better games, I personally liked the graphics of the game, but I'm not synonymous fixed on graphics. The atmosphere I found good and there was also the one or the other creepy moment. The included puzzling passages were also to master, but not always easy. It annoyed me that I can not store freely or at least have several slots to save, as well as the visible building of the world. As already mentioned, it is always a personal taste, I liked it anyway!
