Terrible game, seemed like rough early access I would say to wait on, but it is not identified as one. Bottom line is avoid this title. Key Features: Awful combat mechanics. Skills not for a western game with drone and turret skills, equipment system had an empty slot which appeared to be for an assault rifle. Saw no equipment to fill slots other than the pistol and rifle you start with and med kits which didn't work. Drawing a weapon was also difficult to figure out and unreliable even when you know how. A tiny map you can fall off the edge of. Characters are stereotypical and every woman seen is a prostitute other than one native woman in basically a buckskin bikini. The models are at least what is seen in the footage and images. The voiced quest dialog/script was not terrible, but the quests and quest tracking seemed pretty broken. It did indicate where to go for most things at least. I saw no indication of a reputation or faction system. Generic western soundtrack, didn't stick with it long enough to know if it was super repetitive or not. The voice acting didn't stand out as particularly bad, but the audio and voices seemed to change between sentences and the quality was awful.

A pretty great Wild West game! The game features enjoyable dialogues and a solid overall story. I recommend buying and playing this game!

Es ist mir ein Rätsel, wieso dieses Spiel bisher so viele positive Bewertungen erhalten hat. Gut - ich habe erst eine Stunde gespielt, aber was jetzt schon sich im weiteren Verlauf des Spiels garantiert nicht mehr ändernde Kritikpunkte sein müssen: - Die Grafik ist auf dem Stand von vor ca. 20-25 Jahren. Oft genug wird deren eigentlicher 2D-Charakter sichtbar, beispielsweise wenn man sich nahe an eine Hauswand stellt und dann einen Kameraschwenk macht. - Grafische Unsauberkeiten, z. B. Grasflächen waagerecht in der Luft, während darunter bereits das Gelände schräg abfällt. - Die Animationen sind mit "clunky" noch sehr freundlich charakterisiert. - NPCs stehen zumeist wie angenagelt ewig an Ort und Stelle, wahrscheinlich bis sie durch irgendeinen Quest-Trigger kurzzeitig in Bewegung gesetzt werden. - Insgesamt wirkt die Spielwelt sehr statisch und nicht lebendig. - Eingeschränkte Bewegungsmöglichkeiten: Sprinten und Schleichen sind wohl erst gar nicht vorgesehen. - Die Tastaturbelegung ist auf WASD vorbelegt und kann nicht geändert werden - ein Unding in der heutigen Zeit. - Die Musik ist zwar passend zum Western-Genre gewählt, aber sehr repetitiv. - Die Mädels im Spiel sehen zwar ganz nett aus, da hatte aber garantiert eine KI ihre Hand im Spiel. - Zur Geschichte kann ich noch nichts sagen, dazu ist es zu früh. Bis jetzt war es aber immer nur ein Gehe-dorthin und Hole-dies-und-das sowie Sprich-mit-dem- oder derjenigen. Vielleicht schafft sie es aber noch im späteren Verlauf, meine Bewertung des Spiels ins Positive zu retten. Insgesamt wirkt alles sehr steif und wie aus der Zeit gefallen, bestenfalls wie eine Andeutung, was alles hätte möglich sein können. Musste das sein? Nein. Muss man das spielen? Auch nicht. Für mich ist es immer wieder erstaunlich, dass ein so interessantes Setting wie das Nordamerika des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts mit all seiner politischen, wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Dynamik von den Spiele-Entwicklern bis auf ganz wenige rühmliche Ausnahmen (RDR, RDR2) so schlecht in Spielen umgesetzt bzw. komplett ignoriert werden kann - und das bei all dem offensichtlich vorhandenen Interesse einer großen und zahlungskräftigen Kundschaft. Für Topspiele auf aktuellem Niveau in diesem Genre wäre es (nicht nur) mir eine Freude, auch 70 € oder mehr zu bezahlen. Solche Spiele wie dieses hier sind für mich daher eher ein Ärgernis.

Well, the only plus is probably the music for fans of Westerns. The rest isn't a masterpiece, but it's okay for a one-time playthrough.

The gunfights feel solid overall, but every now and then shots seem to pass right through enemies. It’s annoying, yet kind of funny, and doesn’t really ruin the experience. Games in the Western setting are pretty rare anyway.

Loved the gritty western vibe, tense shootouts, and choices that actually matter. Exploring the frontier feels dangerous.

The game gives you enough freedom to mess around and still feel like you’re progressing. It never forces you to play a single “correct” way. It's pretty cool 👍
