Faithfully recreates the fun of Myth: The Fallen Lords and Myth II: SoulBlighter. I used to play Myth 1 & 2 way too much and was sad that there was never really another game like it since. That's now changed with Deadhold! If you're not familiar with the Myth games, they're RTS tactical games where your armies face off competiting for objectives. Each arrow that flies can be dodged, unit formation matters, and terrain advantage can mean winning a fight. Deadhold takes the same formula and builds upon it - units feel the same but now there's added abilities. I haven't played enough yet to figure out how the abilities will affect the game. So far I haven't run into any performance issues and have had fun on the single single player campaign map and in the arena fighting waves of enemies. Well worth £15 to finally play and support the developer after getting email updates following the games progress for so long!
Awesome game with smooth UI and mechanics, the combat flows.

I have been following Deadholds development for about a year now. The Devs are a small group of determined indivuals, which I find is a good sign for an early access game. For 20$ this game is well worth buying, it offers entertaining moments of luck and skill as you navigate the hordes of undead, or challenge a friend to a battle. At the moment it offers 1 camaign that is very simple, a battle the horde game mode, or multiplayer. other than its limited content (as expected from early access), this game will make a nice addition to anyones game collection.
found it enjoyable no major deal breakers great foundation. going forward though id love to be able to see some in depth unit tactic/logic adjustments for example rangers hang behind warriors and volley over. or hang behind and rush out barrage and retreat. or shield wall and phalanx tactics. even if it wasnt a user controlled metric but a generated group modifer based on composition. those are just examples ould really go as far as you wanted in that realm nextly unit veterancy and non player controlled equipment drops that units will auto grab and equip as battle progresses to sort of push for mid and end match gameplay tactical shifts(on that note even environmental and global events would be something) thirdly heros and epic units(high tier version of base unit) available to bring in would be a great way to increase depth and scope. i want to play as the undead badly idk its good try it out. wish there was a demo i might have waited to buy but still definitely would have ended up buying completed title
Hope you did something useful with my money.
Brings back so many memories of late-night Myth co-op and matches. Can't wait to see it finished!
"game" has been officially canceled. gonna be removed from store soon. DO NOT BUY
Deadhold is Myth Reborn. Looks the same as Myth, the campaign voiceover is the same as in Myth, plays almost the same - it's looking good. You have a zombie invasion, you have archers, you have footmen, and you definitely have dwardves. The devs clearly love their Myth. Too early for rating. In its current form, recommended to Myth fans. Also hope that the old Myth games make it to Steam. But in their absence, looks like Deadhold is the best we have.
Its a good game and have a funny tutorial(hail god of tutorial), but We need Asian Server(or make it p2p)
This game has potential to be really good. Its kind of like an rts rpg. Not a sit and watch game. Very strategic. Every unit matters. Upgrades and spells offer the ability to create unique armies, which can be used awesomely if you have friends in multiplayer matches. Stack each players army to a certain type of attack/defense/ability that can help each other rather than just balanced armies. The micro is intense and intuitive. Oh...and there is friendly fire, which really adds to the dynamic of the game as well as balancing range and melee units. Right now the game is definitely not complete, but I would still recommend trying it out or at least keeping an eye out for its full version release.
