This a neat little horror game with some nice jump scares! You play as Marcus whose task is to explore a haunted house. We start in the basement and we need to turn on the electricity. Pretty soon we find a mirror that will be our equipment against the entity haunting the house. Remember that we usually search for notes in games as collectibles to get achievements? Here they are actually a weapon. They do give us background information on the story, certainly, but using them while we see the enemy reflected in the mirror actually burns it. This is an interesting mechanic but at the same time it also makes the game more difficult as the entity returns pretty soon and it is much faster. I like the concept and how you are required to get items to proceed. Tools to remove chains or a crowbar to remove security bars from doors and of course keys. The front door is available right away but Marcus won't leave until he explored everything. Personally, I think the sepia tone makes the game interesting but the filter is a tad bit too strong: the brightness makes it difficult to see the notes since they are white and are usually on a white surface. Other than that the game is a fine indie project. Not much to do settings-wise and Vsync turns off automatically for some reason during gameplay. Also, pop-up texts would be helpful as tutorial telling us what button corresponds to which action. If you are an FPS veteran you can soon find out, still, I would rather have this approach than read the "How To Play" section in the Main Menu. I look forward to the updates as well as to the later episodes. I wonder if they can be launched from the Main Menu or they will be separate entries in our Steam library (i.e. separate releases). Oh, and voice acting for Marcus and the sounds effects are absolutely fine!

Playthrough here: https://youtu.be/ixPLGn7KFsw Game is super creepy and honestly if the vibe of the game wasn't so good I probably would have gave up on it, but the game did give some good scares and overall I enjoyed the game. The notes were actually original and interesting so finding them was actually quite a treat in this game. The game has a stair glitch where if you go down a set of stairs it might not let you go back up unless you walk up them backwards. The house is incredibly small and sometimes when you burn the entity it can come back almost instantly and just smack you anyways. The mirror mechanic is almost impossible to point when you're moving the dude literally cannot hold the mirror still if your moving if your stopped it's fine, but my god it's not even realistic it's just tragic as the boy is sneaking around about to blow your head off wheezing extremely aggressively. I think you may need some solid luck to get through a run, but definitely recommend for a free to play.

My first words for this game were going to be "schitzo story", but then I realized how buggy and unfair the game actually is, so I'll go in order of what issues I noticed.
Hitboxes
The main character's hitbox, instead of being oblong, is thinner on the sides instead of front and back, making it hell to go through a doorway if you want to strafe in any way, which brings me to my next issue. Strafing The strafing in the game sometimes just won't work. Do you want to go backward and to the left? sometimes it just won't work entirely, especially if you're up against a wall, which is quite often with the tedious gameplay loop.
Ass gameplay loop
I spent most of my time playing trying to interact with objects just in case it's important. After about 10 minutes of wandering I went to see what was on the second story, just to see it blocked.
Gameplay skip (soft lock)
Upon reaching the barricade in the way of the 2nd floor, I decided to go back down, but I accidentally landed on the handrail of the stairs, giving me an idea. I climbed up the handrail and passed by the furniture that had been in the way. Upon reaching the second floor, I was met with new doors, finding a key, and two doors at the end of the hallways. When I attempted to open these clean doors, and the prompt 'I need to find something to get these boards off' appeared, despite a lack of boards near each door. When I wanted to go back downstairs after having my fun, I realized I had been soft-locked in this upper area, and with no more to do up there, I reset and tried the game again. This game could be good, but it has many issues that need to be solved before I could reconsider playing it.
Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.

Warning: Asset Flip! Dead Sale is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
Asset flippers are evolving, resorting more and more to using AI slop to supplement the assets they rip off from stock asset sites. Anything to avoid doing the actual job of a game developer, right? Outside of the remarkable blend of stolen assets and AI slop, this is just another godawful first person horror jumpscare asset flop with no real value as a game for gamers. If unsure, see the peak player count. So, Dead Sale is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites, and a bunch of godawfully bad AI slop. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Dead Sale", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Gamers can smell AI slop from a mile away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
