Deadass was one of the best games that i've ever played, it'd run on the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up weak computers like charm. it had great storyline, great characters, great gameplay and the most fun community... i had really enjoyed spending a few years of my life playing this game. it even made a huge success for the company that made it. that WAS before the devs trashed the game for some other one called "transformice adventures" which hasn't came out and will never be, and they stopped updating this game forever and people stopped playing it since it was still buggy and got abandoned. i hope some other company picks this game up and actually does its justice, genuinely one of the best few zombie games. nowadays only 5 or 4 people who grew too attached to it are the only ones who still play it because they got no other things to do, this game truly has fallen.
Some games are fun for a few weeks. Some games stay with you for years. I have more than 1400 hours in this game, and even after all these years I still remember its atmosphere, locations, scavenging runs, and survival feeling better than many modern AAA titles. Behind the simple 2D graphics was one of the most atmospheric and soul-heavy survival experiences I ever played. Every expedition mattered. Every inventory slot mattered. Every resource felt important. Returning safely to the shelter after scavenging dangerous areas genuinely felt comforting. The game had something many modern survival games are missing: soul. Not because of graphics or budget, but because of the feeling it created: quiet exploration, loneliness, cooperation, progression, survival under scarcity, attachment to items and places, and the constant tension between risk and safety. It respected the player’s time and intelligence. You learned systems naturally, optimized routes, upgraded your shelter slowly, and built your own story inside the world. Very few games create long-term memories like this. Dead Maze did. Most of my memories with this game were made on an old HP Pavilion with an Athlon 64 X2 4000+, 2GB RAM, and GeForce 6150 SE graphics. A weak PC by modern standards, but somehow perfect for the atmosphere of Dead Maze. Maybe that’s another reason the game stayed with me for so many years. One of the best survival games of its era.

It's a time waster without feeling like you are wasting your time. Story line, characters, places to explore, secret areas, missions, leveling up and so much more. Majority of the community is outstanding! Thank you <3

Super adictivo y con una historia bastante decente :D
Dead Maze is a free-to-play survival MMO that blends zombie apocalypse themes with crafting, exploration, and cooperative multiplayer gameplay inside a colorful 2D world. At first glance, the bright cartoon-inspired visuals may give the impression that the game is far more casual than most survival experiences, but beneath the approachable presentation lies a surprisingly engaging system built around scavenging resources, surviving infected zones, and slowly rebuilding stability in a collapsing society. Instead of focusing entirely on brutal realism or nonstop action, the game emphasizes cooperation and long-term progression, creating a survival experience that feels more relaxed and community-oriented while still maintaining tension during exploration. The atmosphere is one of the game’s most unexpectedly successful features. Even with its stylized visuals, the world still feels abandoned and dangerous. Empty streets, ruined buildings, damaged shelters, and dark underground locations all reinforce the feeling that civilization has fallen apart. Exploring these areas while desperately searching for supplies creates a constant sense of vulnerability because resources never feel completely guaranteed. The contrast between the colorful art style and the grim survival setting actually works in the game’s favor by giving it a more distinctive personality compared to darker and more visually aggressive zombie titles. Gameplay revolves around scavenging, crafting, combat, and resource management. Players spend most of their time exploring infected zones in search of food, medicine, crafting materials, and better equipment while trying to avoid becoming overwhelmed by zombies. Hunger, stamina, and health all require attention, which gives exploration a layer of tension even during quieter moments. The survival mechanics are not excessively punishing, but they create enough pressure to make preparation and careful resource usage feel important throughout the experience. Crafting plays a major role in progression and survival. Players regularly create tools, weapons, healing supplies, and defensive items using scavenged materials collected during exploration. The crafting systems themselves are relatively simple, but they fit naturally within the survival structure and help reinforce the feeling of slowly adapting to life in a hostile world. Finding useful materials during dangerous scavenging runs always feels rewarding because nearly every resource contributes toward better gear or long-term progression. Combat is straightforward but effective enough for the type of game Dead Maze wants to be. Players use melee weapons, ranged attacks, and improvised tools to fight infected enemies while carefully managing stamina and positioning. Individual zombies are not especially threatening on their own, but large groups quickly become dangerous when players are unprepared or trapped in confined spaces. The combat mechanics are not highly complex, but they work well within the cooperative survival structure, especially when fighting alongside other players during difficult encounters. The cooperative multiplayer design is one of the game’s strongest qualities. Unlike many survival games built around competition and hostility between players, Dead Maze places far greater emphasis on teamwork and shared survival. Players regularly assist each other during exploration, share supplies, defend camps, and participate in cooperative missions. This creates a much friendlier atmosphere than many other online survival titles where encounters with strangers usually lead to conflict. The social aspect gives the world a stronger sense of life because players constantly encounter others while scavenging or traveling through dangerous areas. Loot variety also helps maintain engagement. Weapons, crafting materials, clothing, and useful survival items are scattered throughout the world, encouraging players to continue exploring abandoned locations in search of valuable resources. The game includes a decent range of equipment options, and discovering useful items during risky expeditions creates satisfying moments of progression. Even though the loot systems are not incredibly deep, they provide enough incentive to keep exploration rewarding over longer play sessions. The progression systems are relatively simple compared to larger MMORPGs, but they still provide a steady sense of advancement. Players improve their camps, unlock stronger equipment, discover crafting recipes, and gradually strengthen their characters over time. The pacing of progression feels accessible rather than grind-heavy, which makes the game easier to enjoy casually. New areas and tougher enemies are introduced steadily enough to maintain interest without overwhelming players too quickly. Visually, Dead Maze succeeds through charm and readability rather than technical realism. The 2D isometric perspective makes exploration and combat easy to follow while also helping the game maintain a unique visual identity. Environmental details, lighting effects, and weather conditions add atmosphere to the world despite the relatively simple graphical style. Nighttime exploration becomes especially tense because visibility decreases and infected enemies feel significantly more threatening in darker environments. The sound design supports the atmosphere effectively as well. Ambient environmental sounds, distant zombie noises, and subtle music all help reinforce the feeling of surviving inside a dangerous and deteriorating world. The soundtrack generally remains understated during exploration but becomes more intense during dangerous encounters, helping maintain tension naturally without becoming overwhelming. Despite its strengths, the game does have some noticeable weaknesses. The gameplay loop can eventually become repetitive during extended sessions because many objectives revolve around familiar scavenging and crafting patterns. Combat mechanics also lack the depth and impact found in more action-oriented survival games, which may disappoint players looking for highly dynamic or skill-based encounters. Technical issues and inconsistent long-term support have also affected the game’s reputation over time. Some players have criticized performance problems, uneven updates, and concerns regarding the future growth of the game. While the core experience remains enjoyable, the lack of major ongoing expansion limits the long-term potential somewhat compared to larger online survival games. What ultimately makes Dead Maze enjoyable is its balance between survival tension and cooperative accessibility. The game captures the atmosphere of scavenging through dangerous zombie-infested environments without becoming overwhelmingly punishing or frustrating. Its focus on teamwork, crafting, and gradual progression creates a much more welcoming survival experience than many competitors in the genre. Dead Maze may not redefine survival MMOs, but it succeeds as a charming and entertaining cooperative zombie adventure with a strong sense of atmosphere and community. Players looking for a more relaxed survival experience focused on exploration and teamwork rather than brutal realism will likely find far more enjoyment here than they initially expect. Rating: 7/10
