game is sooooo boring 15min+ to do things

difficulté mal dosé . beaucoup d'aller retour. Quelques lieux sont difficile à se reperer et dans l'obscurité . J'ai vu le final sur youtube et j'ai bien fait de ne pas insister dans le jeu . Y avait il vraiment une histoire dans ce jeu ?

Three movies. One nightmare. Dead Format throws you into three wildly different VHS horror movies while you search for your missing brother: a 1920s silent gothic film, a cheesy sci-fi B-movie, and... basically Suspiria. And somehow, all three work brilliantly. With its gorgeous VHS aesthetic, short but effective FMV sequences, and a clever Metroid-style progression that has you constantly jumping between movies to find new ways forward, Dead Format is one hell of a love letter to horror cinema. The gameplay is fairly classic first-person horror: puzzles, gunplay and stealth. Unfortunately, stealth is also one of my biggest problems with the game. An unstoppable creature that comes running whenever you make noise quickly turns the experience into what I like to call a "crouching simulator", à la Alien: Isolation or Outlast. The problem is that, instead of making things scary, it eventually becomes mostly frustrating. It also makes the weapons feel almost pointless, since there are very few enemies and the main threat is completely immune to them. The other issue is the tiny survival-horror inventory. It doesn't really add much tension here and mostly becomes an inconvenience, especially since there is no way to expand it. Storage and saving are also centralized in a hub that can be annoying to return to, particularly because running around can literally get you killed. But honestly, these problems don't stop Dead Format from being a fantastic horror experience. Visually, the game looks incredible, especially with its gorgeous VHS filter. The puzzles are logical and satisfying without ever becoming an exercise in staring at a wall for 30 minutes. And for horror movie fans, this game is basically a giant box of candy: Nosferatu, The Shining, Videodrome, The Blair Witch Project, Alien, and plenty more. A fantastic love letter to horror cinema with an amazing atmosphere and a genuinely creative concept. If you can tolerate the occasional "stay crouched and wait for the monster to leave" simulator section, this is an easy recommendation for horror and movie fans.
