Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 23 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's not great, but the (short) FMV segments are really really cool.
Recommended for horror and sci-fi fans, and those familiar with video nasties. Gameplay is just difficult enough and Resident Evil lite, that it doesn't descend into walking simulator territory. All the references to my favourite films, especially those of David Cronenberg made me smile, although it was the Holy Mountain reference that wowed me most! The creators love for body horror, giallo and sc-fi really came across in the attention to detail in the various game environments and the films you watch in game. The game was also genuinely creepy. Fantastic time playing this game!

Alright, so this game looks promising on video. Let's break it down into good and bad. | Good | The actual idea behind the game and exploring various haunted tapes is amazing! I loved the stories behind the tapes and watching them before and after the level was always a treat. The effects in them are fun and really capture the older pulp-movie aesthetic. The general (world) design of the game is neat and some of the puzzles are really interesting, although a lot of them can boil down to either backtracking or simple swapping. The music and sound design is perfect , I loved the sound of the
teeth gun
. | Bad | Alright, holy hell. The game is extremely repetitive and actively feels like it's trying to waste your time with some of the backtracking. You'll be walking through an area OVER and OVER and OVER again. It's especially bad once the
vulture
comes into play and you have to slow walk / crouch everywhere to avoid it spawning and chasing you. Sure, you can stun it with the
violin
you get later. But, all that does is extend the chase out when you can just run under a table and wait. The item crafting system it half baked (you can craft three items) and I found myself with way too many healing tapes, I probably should have just used them to brute force the backtracking. The worlds look so good, but when you *keep* backtracking through the same areas.. *you start to dislike them*. I played the first 2 hours while some friends watched and they even commented that it was getting stale. | SPOILERS |
The story was neat! But that ending felt like the biggest nothing-burger of a final level. There's this awesome lighthouse you can travel to and it has a cool eye effect, I was really expecting some "Yellow King" type ending fight/puzzle or seeing a monumental secret! Instead, I walk into a video store and pick up a tape that's the game I'm playing and then get hit by the most boring jump scare in the world. Seriously, my actual reaction to this ending was "Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me? That's it.". I don't mind a rough ending or one that has a twist associated, but the whole "ohh your playing the game and your the story being watched" kind of thing was handled in a way that was extremely boring.
| Final Thoughts | I think this game could have done better with; less backtracking for puzzles or shorter routes back and forth, a more robust item crafting system (or do away with it entirely), more enemies and or levels so your not just dealing with the
vulture
24/7. I think the ending should be completely redone, extend the
lighthouse
section out and provide some more interesting environments to explore. I wouldn't even mind the current ending IF
it wasn't the boring jumpscare
and you
got to see the player character lure more people like the doppelganger brother
. Seriously, throw a bone and add another live action scene. Those were really cool!
Pros -Visual style of each tape -Concept of the tapes pretty cool -Vibe Cons -Didn't care for the ending
Great game with a great quirk, just challenging enough to be fun. Highly recommend. If you are on the fence dont be
I really want to like this game. I actually think the concept is great. And the complaints about having to back-and-forth your way through the levels and limited inventory system doesn't really bother me honestly. Do I think The Vulture's a little too on top of you? Maybe. But hiding and creeping around behind her is easy enough. And so far I enjoy the puzzle elements greatly. What IS unfortunate is that the game has severe performance problems. More than once the game completely freezes on me, presenting me with an "application hang" message. And I've tried to play both ways; pre-loading the shaders and refusing to. Now, granted, my computer's parts are not the youngest, so I'm sure there are people who don't even have this problem. I just wish I didn't. Because I'm liking what I get to experience. But it is tinged with frustration at the poor optimization. So, would I recommend it? Yes, I think so. But I would either try to get an optimization patch going soon or perhaps warn people that the game is worryingly temperamental at the moment. Because combining the freezes with the fact that it operates on old-school survival horror saving - as in, only one place to save and no auto-save function - is adding an unfun element to the experience, sorry to say. Addendum: I turned off the fog in the game. As pretty and mysterious as it made things, it was the primary thing causing my troubles. Game ran fine after that and not a single crash! I still think that there should be some optimization fixes for the game, but I still recommend it! Just be aware that high graphics may cause trouble for you if you don't have anything better than an RTX 2060!
Genuinely such a good game, the aesthetics, the sound design, the creature, THE LEVEL DESIGN. Overall so good and I hope to see where the dev(s) go. Feels like a good ol first person puzzle solving survival horror where stealth is key and your weapons look awesome.
If you love classic horror movies from the 80s like Invasion of the Body Snatcher, Videodrome, and The Thing you'll probably love this game
great game. wish the ending gave more closure though.
