About
On September 12th, 1977, the South Atlantic Shipping Company vessel SASC Abyss inexplicably lost communication and beached herself on a small desolate island south of Mwali. Years later Sadiiq Waaberi boards the dilapidated vessel in search of valuable artifacts and salvage, but dreams of fortune quickly become nightmares as the mystery behind the shipwreck begins to unfold.
Something lurks the desolate halls of the Abyss, and your only hope for survival is to avoid it by any means necessary. Hide in lockers and under desks, manage your breathing, and when all else fails... run.
Set in modern day, explore the 70s era wreckage of the ultra-large container vessel, rusted from years of exposure to the elements, and in complete disarray from the land collision she suffered years ago. You'll explore the deck, engine room, living quarters, and hospital ward as you learn more about her dark history.
The story of Dead Abyss will be told episodically. This prologue chapter introduces players to the mystery of the Abyss' disappearance and provides a taste of what's to come.

Monster is broken. Gets caught in rooms that you may be required to go into. Managed to escape only because of another glitch. But hey, it's free, and does have some cool visual scenes. Very, very short and only really one "level."
"Dead Abyss" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Dead Abyss", which is intended to be sold incrementally either as a separate full product or through DLC to this... except given they haven't touched this for 6 months, and nobody bothered playing their advert, it's unlikely that will ever happen. Dead Abyss is a basic Unreal kitbash, someone took a bunch of Unreal assets and dropped them on a first person horror adventure game template. This advert for it is just a shallow tech demo to prove that yes, it is possible to take other people's assets, put them on someone else's game template, and then call yourself a game developer. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Dead Abyss, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct yet unreleased product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Dead Abyss" too. Usually the purpose of these advertisements is to get you to shell out money to the developer to buy the full product, but the developer hasn't bothered actually making a product you can buy, leaving this as an advertisement for nothing. We must question what value this pointless advertising has for gamers... and the answer is "none". Due to the poor public response amongst gamers for this advertisement, it seems unlikely the developer will go on to make the full product. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.

Idea yes it's great - But lot bugs :( For free yea. for 1 time run not bad) If someone need - Gameplay; https://youtu.be/HgjfdWFV3_Q
Well-made, runs smoothly, unique and creative gameplay elements. I'm not a horror game fanatic or critic, but it does create a believable sense of unsafety where other games don't. I have a strong feeling that multiplayer will be a great addition, if it's ever a consideration.
its free and pretty short, reminds me a lot of monstrum but im all for more monstrum like games, audio/visual glitches and bugs did make it less scary though.
Рядовая страшилка-бродилка https://youtu.be/P4oIlzD5eNM
I take back what I said previously. The developers have been generous and did their best to help me resolve my issue, and so for their troubles I'll change it from a thumbs down to a thumbs up. With that said, treat this as a positive engagement booster rather than a review.
OMG LOVED THE GAME, AND DIDNT EXPECT THAT THERE WILL BE CHAPTER 2. CANT WAIT TO PLAY CHAPTER 2 WHEN IT COMES OUT !!
