I am vuuury surprised with this game. Coming from the developer's other games, I can see how he has evolved and has increased his skills. This is made in RPG Maker... Never thought you could do this in RPG Maker. The story in this is meh. And the interface kinda suffers a little bit like the rest of the developers games. I am only about an hour and a half into the game, but it feels like there is so much depth to the monsters and farming. I've played stardew valley and while I enjoy that more for the farming than this, the rpg element of this game is so much better than SDV. Developer, your games are really creative and fun and I am really enjoying them. But please work on making the interfaces more intuitive! If you had that, these games would be A LOT better.
I'm always looking for games that are not "cookie cutter" games and I found it in this game. After several hours I am still fully engaged and haven't even scratched the surface yet. Good story, good graphics, good music and challenging, never a dull moment. It is quite obvious the developer put a lot of time and talent in this one.
I've been playing this game for 5 hours straight now! Very entertaining & refreshing style and gameplay. The music is great and I just want to sit here and listen to it instead of playing sometimes xD
I was craving some relaxing but not bland rpg for my summer holidays and I just found it! If this is your genre, this is a must get! And you can insult your bachelors/bachelorettes or pound on their doors till they get angry and yell at you, what else can you wish for?
This game is fun reminds me of a stardew valley. cant wait to get more into the story. Good job Stapleton.
Haven't had a lot of time to dive in but I did play the demo and enjoyed it enough to buy it and the other games from the developer. Seems to have a lot of depth and I look forward to playing it more. I would like to see some resolution or zoom in options at some point.
I didnt play it much but was a solid game especially for the small price point. Seems like a lot of game for so little which is nice. Wasnt a huge fan of MnK controls but roller seemed legit. Solid 7.5/10.
Relaxing gameplay with a charming art style. A cozy experience that's easy to enjoy.
What a load of garbage
A very nice game that absolutely deserves to be known more. At the base of it you have a Stardew Valley foundation (the obvious comparison). On some aspects it does things better on some it is a bit below, but justifiably so since farming is not the sole focus of the game. I personnally liked that a part of the process is simplified and as a result it doesn't feel like a daily job routine. Your land is big enough to build comfortably, you even have two areas and a personal cave. At first you will struggle with ressources, with energy management, heat management/balancing (an interesting mechanic, among several others) and storage but there are solutions to all these limitations through items and crafting which make up for a nice and satisfying progression. Days will feel short but It will eventually be totally possible to spend most of the time doing what you want to do (especially in winter). After you get wealthy you can even bypass the farming completely if you prefer. The house expansion is well made and the number of decorations to get/unlock is significant. Events are rightly dosed and feel like a nice addition rather than forcing you to participate. The relationship system is simple but works fine in a decently realistic way. There are a few bugs left but nothing major and they are being addressed. The developper is visibly available to answer questions, help with the game and takes suggestions for fixes/improvements. I see that since the first reviews the accessibility of the game was greatly improved through the tutorial and the help section with detailed explantions about all its aspects. The bestiary is still a bit too vague though on who is an evolution or not and how to obtain some of them. Which brings us to the core of the game and most interesting part : the farming is actually there to service the monster training/battling. Experience is gained using energy for skills (which can be increased btw), skills that are learnt randomly as well as passives which you can cumulate (four total) and change. All the crops you harvest and the food you cook will permenently boost their stats while restoring their energy. This way you get a true sense of uniqueness and customization, you can focus on getting the creatures you like and make any of them viable or even overpowered and all that combined makes the game engaging and gratifying. The ennemies/opponents you face will scale to your monsters level and therefore will always be somewhat of a challenge (compared to the botched progression in the new Pokémon Scarlet/Violet games for example), while the dungeons go up 10 lvls in any order you choose. The combat is familiar but different enough to feel fresh and interesting. All in all I've had a blast and I'll keep playing, there is still quite a bit more left to do. Great value for the money.
