Days With Ollie

Seru sih tapi masih ada yang perlu diperbaikin, contohnya kayak subtitle yang typo dan bug 2 bgm yang berbeda tapi saling tabrakan. Selama main sih baru nemunya itu aja gatau yang lainnya.

Just to say it upfront: + yes, the last update erased all save-files + yes, there are two choices where the game won't progress unless you switch to Indonesian prior to that point + yes, there are still several instances where the English texts aren't translated But... + the story is cute and has some very funny twists here and there + the game has many beautiful visuals of Ollie + it has cameos of the other ID girls All in all, the devs should really put some more work into it to polish it. Also, the next patch shouldn't erase the save-files. But for a fan of the adorable zombie idol it's really a cute little treat. And the price really isn't that high.

I want to recommend the game, but at the moment I cannot. I can't even get past the early game so far because it soft-locks at the interview. By soft-lock, I mean that the game will prompt for a choice and upon clicking the choice nothing will happen. You can still rewind, save, load, and so on, but the game refuses to progress. Two of the interview paths are doing this, one with a soft-lock choice and two bad ends, and the other with all three choices being soft-locks. As a result, I can't play any further. It will not do anything. I even tried the trick some people recommended with rewinding, changing the language to Indonesian, and then selecting the option, but that unfortunately doesn't seem to fix it for me.

I wanted to enjoy this, I was really excited to play this game for more hololive content, but the entire game feels really mean-spirited, and judgmental, especially when I select options that with good intentions, but then the game makes the protagonist act like a jerk, or have anybody respond like a jerk instead, and then the game criticizes me for it. Like I just want to continue the story, I don't want to click on literally every bad option. Not to mention some options are red-herrings, and if you think will progress through the game, will always lead to a game over, which is really deceptive. Also the game isn't fully translated like a lot of people say, mainly the game over screen.

В игре с самого релиза присутствуют баги. А вот их фикса нет до сих пор (на момент написания обзора). Главный из них - некорректная работа игры на английской локализации. Из-за этого то отсутствует правильный вариант ответа, что приводит к софтлокам. Местами даже часть текста на английский не переведена. Второй баг это самый обычный софтлок, правда если предыдущий решался со сменой локализации, то вот этот уже нет. Дальше пройти не получится вообще, независимо от локализации игры. [/list] Собственно говоря игру я не прошёл, по выше указанным причинам. Мне искренне жаль, что у игры случилась такая судьба. Ощущение, что игра не получив должного внимание, оказалась не нужной и разработчикам. Хоть я и большой фанат Олли, но игры хотя бы должны быть играбельными. [b][u]Оценка: 1/4[/u]

This visual novel, if I could say so, is the definition of embarrassment. As many had mentioned in other reviews, the game has been pretty much abandoned since the issue with English translations and such hasn't been properly fixed and with this game being more than one year old already, I doubt it would be fixed one day. Also this game choice where you could pick the wrong answer despite it sounds the most logical answer is so frequently annoying. Look, giving a "souls-like" thing where you would restart many times because you pick the wrong answer is fine, but this is too frequent to be enjoyable. If this option only comes like five or ten minutes once where in between you can enjoy the story, I am fine with it. But it happens once a minute or even more, which is again, annoying. . For additional context, the developer of this game, "Pt. Global Digital Artha', is also known as the developer of mobile visual novel like 'Hardest Girl to Get or Kode Keras Cewek' which is the same style with Days With Ollie. The difference is, this style works for a free mobile game that you can open and play for ten or twenty minutes then close, but for a paid Steam game? There are a lot more enjoyable games or even visual novels you could buy. Of course, with this being cheap, I don't expect it to be as good as the scale of Entegram's AQUARIUM but at least I expect something that I could enjoy reading but this? Way below my expecation that I already put mine very low. . Already refunded mine since it feels shallow, short, and not enjoyable. The concept of a fan being able to meet and work with his or her oshi is interesting and a good one but the execution is just not there. Maybe it is just not my cup of tea and I am being too critical but I'd rather spend my money on other things other than this. Also, too bad this is the only game up to this point that has been published by Hololive Indonesia since I want to see more.

Not recommended for english speaking fans of Ollie. Too much content is untranslated or locked behind indonesian language to progress. Also a tad expensive with money better going to merch.
