It's an alright game.. but I can't really recommend it as it constantly hangs up on zone loading while trying to do one of its primary functions.. idling. It's also very flashy with a billion currencies in the typical gambler addiction money grubbing way. They give away such massive rewards with limited time keys.. you will never catch up to anyone unless they quit playing...ever.. so between pay to win and that you might as well forget any sort of competitive play. They also put in a Experience bar in combat that is always 0/whatever it takes to level at base which is.. an odd decision.. it's like they couldn't make up their mind or the system changes later but they couldnt be asked to hide it until then. On a side note, the UI is still a little clunky but it is very much improved over their initial release. I would not consider it a negative to the game anymore. The tutorial is, unfortunately, one of those 'click here because I tell you to but I won't tell you why' sorts where it assumes you're mentally deficient.
+ GOOD IDLE GAME + LOOT FILTER AVAILABLE + NO FORCE TO BUY WHATEVER YOU CAN GET ALL FOR FREE TOO + EVENTS & CAMPAIGN + PET POSSIBILITY + GUILD POSSIBILITY absolute positive about this game. its worth playing in 2022!

Great depth to it.
Cool art and aesthetic, but that's about all the game has going for it. UI is terrible to navigate even after playing for several days. Loading screen is probably the most obnoxious thing if you are babysitting the game in the foreground: Game freezing is the most obnoxious thing if you have it running in the background. Every hunter skill goes to level 10 with some levels changing the damage or cooldown; but some levels don't change anything, so what's the point? Loot and gearing feels bad. Offline gains feel insignificant, or sometimes you get no offline gains at all. Wait a year and see if this game has improved. Right now, I would not recommend it.
Decent, for being free and an EA for a idler, hopefully they can add some more features, and a more fluid experience. Most of my time is spent logged in, the one rub with this is it stops idling once your inventory is full. Expanding a feature for auto sell, dismantle or otherwise while the game is loaded up should be considered, additionally the game freezes out as well while logged in for periods of time. Other than that it's what I expect from an idler. Worth a try.
Amazing game that will become masterpiece!
The game has some decent production values to it, visually and graphically. There is some promise for an idle game... but it seems pretty shallow and mostly inconsequential early on. Yeah, I know that sounds obvious/par for the course when talking about this genre, but I personally have enjoyed and played many idle and incremental titles on PC and mobile. Unfortunately the shallow nature feels quite predictive of the mid to long term gameplay, as well, even after unlocking more content types like arena. My main character is level 50, at stage 125 or so. There is no monster variety, and every single stage is the same thing with 3 waves with at max a handful of targets. Each hero character type has almost identical kits, save for their last skill. All of their skills are on timers that make the skills somewhat useless if you are fighting in a zone that they are competent at: getting to 7 rounds to get a speed bonus means you aren't killing the target fast enough. Fighting a stage too difficult for you to survive in just means you die faster. There are sound effects I thought sounded like they were ripped from Diablo 2; someone else commented on this suspicion. (The loot monkey thing that flies over head sounds like a Fallen, and there was at least one or two other effects that sounded very familiar--anyone with hundreds of hours of D2 might pick up on it.) Even if these sounds were somehow licensed from a sound library, this is odd, and not the way to do a 'homage'. There is so far, very little that is compelling about the player choices. Grind for almost purely grind's sake, even though I DO enjoy idle/incremental and grindy games ... This is not very interesting when there are few build-defining choices on how your particular playthrough will be. If one would argue that this is only something that arrives after dozens or hundreds of hours (or realtime months)--then the game is designed to be too bland in the start, when interesting choices need to be showcased up front, or the really cool/powerful and unique gear gets teased at the start. Gear has stats, but it all feels nearly inconsequential, especially when getting percentage-based bonuses at very low levels where it doesn't matter. Except for certain items that dominantly arrived from events, and from a lootbox type gacha container. The game has an auto-farm/repeat function as all idle games should--but for me, it regularly failed to load the next stage when the deployment timer ends, leaving a spinning loading circle animation, forcing a quit and reload of the game. There is offline progress, but without the gear drops. A few others in chat said this happened to them about once an hour... I've had about the same experience, but it can end the run after only one battle or twenty. I had it happen about six times in 2 hours. Others said it wasn't happening to them and blamed my computer... All in all, this could be the foundation of what could one day be an interesting sci-fi themed idle game, with some love for and inspiration from Diablo-type loot games that is missing the essence and core of why those games are interesting. Set/unique items as well as skill CHOICES (not a list of 4 that barely go off if your auto attacks are strong) could be build defining. Enemy stages that have actual variety that are a cakewalk OR challenging based on those skill/build decisions would be interesting: but (boring) idle games are typically more about total time invested/passive income to permit breakthroughs, and very small stat bonuses. There are mobile games that did this better, years ago (Tap Titans for example). This game has all of the microtransaction stuff of a mobile game, however. There are also already people apparently maxed out on levels since it appears to have been in private alpha or beta for years, with no plans to either reset or create new servers (or 'ladders' if we want to look at again, a decades-old concept from say, Diablo 2.) Even a game like SimCity has "idle" elements where you accrue resources, then take a bunch of actions, and then wait to see feedback of the results--good or bad. However, there are layered hierarchies and branching decisions that lead to positive and negative consequences. Here, there needs to be obvious "bad" choices as well as items or skills with both pros and cons: ie getting a weapon type that changes a character from single target to multitarget. Even simple visual variety: a dozen rounds fired instead of one burst. All of the Weapon types I've gotten are all 50% chance of proccing some debuff that is largely inconsequential, and they are all the same attack animation, with just a skin change. Weapons are not treated like the Implant (armor slot) gear; they are gacha rewards that require getting multiples of the same thing (ie five of them) just for the next upgrade. There needs to be a ton of enemy variety: they didn't even do the classic of retro gaming of just shifting the colour and size and quantity of enemies... but even that would be more interesting than the what, six total? It should be viable to focus on healing/tanking sustain versus glass cannon due to specific content, but it seems obvious that the ideal thing to do here is optimize for autoattack damage and use pets that contribute a hit after every autoattack, and disable the skills. Maybe maxing evasion because there's one (arbitrary) heal potion use per level, so dodging more than one hit is very valuable. The developers need to step back and take a look at other games and actually analyze their mechanics and what makes them so compelling. Idle games do not have to be extremely dull and repetitive so that daily activities are purely a chore; it should be treated as a sort of hero/ARPG management sim, but there needs to be up front choices that fundamentally alter the feel and progression, and watching the consequences of these decisions and experimenting with different strategies and approaches should be the core of why it's enjoyable. If there are players already maxed out, then they should see why other games have an exponential curve on progression (level XP for example) or they should be looking at how to make prestige mechanics to make it compelling to start over again... as long as there are different approaches to try.
Its not IDLE, its just a clicker game, any difference? Yea, idle games progress without any clicks at all during several hours, this wont progress at all if you dont click on it with say max 1min space on the clicks... so clicker NOT idle. Cant say much more than it feels like it needs ALOT of work to be worth DL... on top of this it feels like it will become one of those cashgrab ♥♥♥♥ games... Your experience may differ, but I will give this until the end of some quests and then aither edit this or delete the game

Darkzone is a fanTASTIC game for those who just want something light-hearted and simple. The art style reminds of a comic book in some ways, which is super cool! The loot system is very deep, yet simple enough to know what pieces work with what. The developers truly listen, and add/remove features when requested, on top of being extremely friendly. The community is VERY helpful, and though it may seem like not a ton of people are around, just ask something! Someone will answer :) If you're on the fence about trying it out, I would say just download it! :D Nothing to lose, but tons to gain!!
