Dark Parables #15. (Please note, DP #13 is not available on Steam.) A series of fragmented object games with puzzles and stories that each stand alone, but are also interconnected in the form of recurring characters. But each game tells its own story and they can technically be played in any order. There is fast travel. There are achievements within the game but they don't show up on Steam. There are also collectibles that unlock lore. The story for this game is quite good, a little hard to explain without spoilers. Recurring characters include some from DP #5 (Final Cinderella) and DP #6 (Sky Kingdom), plus one other little cameo from DP #2.
One of the darkest of the Dark Parables. Well drawn, not too difficult.
3.5 out of 5 stars. Pretty good game, but it wasn't nearly as great as the last game, and it was quite in the shorter side. I do need to look it up, but this has to be the shortest game I can recall of the series. Puzzles reflect older game and it was nice to see them use previous game lore. But other than that not that interesting of a story and puzzles were pretty easy. I did skip one because I couldn't understand the directions. HO scenes were a delight to the eyes. Now to the final game of the series.
I own all the Dark Parables games and find them a delight to play- this one is no exception. I especially like the manner of gameplay, the sometimes medieval sounding music, the beautiful graphics, the puzzles (which are a match to theme and challenging but not so hard you want to pull your hair out or hit the skip button) - the FROG/ HO scenes (even if they aren't as pretty and jewel-like as the older DP games), the many morphing objects (not in every scene, making them more difficult to find), as well as the imaginative tales themselves - usually a dark twist on 2 - 3 fairytales combined, along with surprise visits from characters of earlier DP games. I also like how in gameplay you stumble across items and notes that tell the story as you go, and also those that belong to other characters in earlier DP games...And of course I like the parable pieces found in the popup windows, to unlock the parables that are thematic to the game, telling the backstory. I even like the sounds used when things are collected - DP's own brand. I have played countless demos and and own hundreds of HOPA games -but there is something magical about Dark Parables games that make them stand out from the rest ... this comes with collectibles to find, (parables and morphing objects), a strategy guide, a jump map, a bonus chapter - and the usual menu of achievements, replay of puzzles, HOPs, etc... I recommend this, and all their games - especially for those who enjoy beautifully drawn fairytales and casual, fun gameplay that possesses a certain charm (though there are also a few freakish moments and jump scares blended in- as stated, they are DARK parables. ;-)). Enjoy!
Sou completamente VICIADA e APAIXONADA em toda a série Dark Parables. A história é muito bem feita e pensada. Divertida de jogar. Essa coleção é simplesmente perfeita.
si, pero la parte de objetos ocultos es muy aburrida todos son partes de joyas y canasan despues de un tiempo
Play with matches folks and all your dreams will come trues

So gut!
I really like that they returned to their roots in this and the previous part. The game and story is pretty nice as well even though the main nemesis looks like a doll and is therefore pretty creepy. I really like this part, i needed one hint and no skip which is pretty nice. All in one a really nice part with really nice puzzles. The price is pretty ok too. All in one i can really highly recommend it.
