Dark Nights - Reflections

dlc如约而至，故事和本篇差不多，只不过重点集中在了Chain、Roya两人身上。 女主性格倒是变得有些含蓄了，在正片雨伞捅僵尸，逆推各男主的壮举反倒无了。 [hr][/hr] [h3] Chain[/h3] 可靠的保护者，进线会把女主保护进自己家，[strike] 金屋藏娇了属于是。 [/strike] 高冷且沉默寡言，猎取怪异赚钱。和女主的感情属于细水长流 但这条线令我觉得Chain像个无欲的和尚，盘核桃盘了好久才开窍的那种 甚至开窍了也像是步入贤者模式，[strike] 恨不得派遣按头小分队来按头！ [/strike] be和ne莫名有些好品怎么办，[spoiler] 失去之后的痛感，错过后的多年重逢。 [/spoiler] [h3] Roya[/h3] 这小子在本篇就是蔫坏胚子+享乐主义 跟女主还是蛮好磕的，我懂作者为什么如此偏爱他了。 各怀目的与鬼胎的两人之间的相互试探，然后逐渐喜欢彼此 杀人魔X侦探小姐的既视感，这种关系张力感很强，很好磕。 [quote=Roya] I parted with my past lovers before things became serious,and yet each time it left me feeling empty. [b]Note:[/b] A wonderful friend gifted me a copy of this game. ^^ [h1]The [i]Dark Nights[/i] fandisk that is worth the wait. :D[/h1] [h2]Introduction[/h2] [i]Dark Nights - Reflections[/i] is an otome, horror, supernatural visual novel developed and published by Pinlin. It serves as the fandisk to the original game, [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/2143340/Dark_Nights/][i]Dark Nights[/i][/url], which is free-to-play. You take on the role of Miyoko, whose name can be changed, a second year college student who gets caught up in the crazy events that are happening to her town at night, mainly with people randomly disappearing and then suddenly, reappearing although they're clearly not the same. Along the way, Miyoko meets various guys from her school, and despite the craziness, she may fall in love while she tries to solve the ongoing mysteries. :o As for the gameplay, it consists of numerous choices. While the early choices in the prologue determine which route (Chain, the hunter/cop, or Roya, the flirty living undead) Miyoko gets, later choices decide whether she gets a romantic, normal, or bad ending(s). If your choices lead towards a bad ending, there's even a timed choice, and deciding whether or not to click on that timed choice in time can lead to certain endings. There are lots of beautiful CGs as well as a varied soundtrack although no voice acting. Several Steam achievements are present as well although they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". [h2]Review[/h2] One of my friends recommended [i]Dark Nights[/i] to me way back, and I enjoyed it so much that I even wrote up a review for it. Even more so, thanks to a wonderful friend, I got the chance to play this, and yes, I really wanted to get to this on the sooner side. :D With the story, the events are pretty much the same as in [i]Dark Nights[/i]. Granted, it has been quite a long while since I played the base game, so my memory might be fuzzy on some details. However, the main events are still the same. Even though it isn't necessary to have played the base game, I would highly recommend to do so, preferably shortly before playing [i]Reflections[/i]. Also, [i]Dark Nights[/i] has plenty of hot guys to romance. (Gosh, I miss romancing my Junoru. T_T) At any rate, Miyoko gets to romance two guys that made appearances in [i]Dark Nights[/i] but weren't romanceable at the time: Chain, the bounty hunter, and Roya, the living undead who's Junoru's older brother. I like how Miyoko can find out more about their backstories. On Chain's route, there are flashbacks that delve into how Chain became the hunter that he is. After experiencing his route, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Let's just say that no one deserves to experience that much loss. As for Roya, he comes off as flirty and a playboy, but it's really more of a facade to mask his pain. Like Chain, he's lost people that he cares about, too, and if Miyoko is on route to Roya's romantic or normal endings, she can experience parts of Roya's and Junoru's past. As for which route and/or guy is better, I think it'll come down to personal preference. Despite that I felt sympathy for Chain, yes, I ended up liking Roya more (even though I'm not really into the flirty types) and that's because his backstory tugged at my heartstrings more. Also, he's Junoru's brother, and I'll always have a soft spot for Junoru. ^^ Before I continue, I should note that at the time of this review, only Chain's and Roya's route are available. There's a secret route as well although it won't be available until early 2026. There are plenty of endings, which I like. Chain and Roya have both romantic and normal endings as well as bad endings and even secret ones. There's plenty to discover for all those completionists. XD With the writing, it's paced well. I noticed the occasional typo and such, but the writing flows very smoothly, so they aren't a distraction. All achievements are obtainable, and there's even a wonderful user guide on Steam in case you get stuck on finding those one or two elusive ones. As for the art, it's very gorgeous. I can tell that the art has improved since [i]Dark Nights[/i]. The sprites have this softer feel now, and the backgrounds are pretty to look at. Of course, the CGs are especially lovely to look at, and I couldn't help but to take plenty of screenshots, including the spicy ones. I should note that initially, I had trouble hearing the tracks, so I had to increase the volume a bit. They're great to listen to, and the tracks really fit well in their respective scenes. [h2]Conclusion[/h2] Would I recommend [i]Dark Nights - Reflections[/i]? If you're looking for a thrill-seeking otome visual novel with a bit of heat and spiciness (believe me - those romantic endings are worth getting XD), you especially enjoyed [i]Dark Nights[/i], and/or you like getting those Steam achievements, then it's totally worth checking out. At the asking price, it's a wonderful deal for the amount of content, and even the secret route isn't out yet, so there's more to look forward to. Also, I'm looking forward to some additional content that should be out as well since I enjoy reading up on characters' backstories and histories. There's a lot I need to say and I don't have the words to say it. Dark Nights is my favourite VN of all time, that much is now more true than ever with this expansion. I have been awaiting Chain for years and man, was it worth the wait. Everything about the base game is improved in these routes, and I adored the base game. The writing, story, and art have all been upgraded immensely, the CGs are genuinely so beautiful I felt emotional seeing them for the first time. The routes are longer too so you get plenty of time with your man of choice, and the side characters get some more time in the spotlight too. I'm writing this review before the extra stories or the secret route so there's even MORE coming! This is an absolute steal of an expansion, costing practically nothing for absolutely outstanding quality adding onto a still FREE base game!!! Lastly I must gush more about Chain because he is amazing he is hot he is everything he alone makes this a 1000/10. Just knowing that these routes came about from the sheer thirst of the fanbase is very special to me. I am one of the thirsty, and I...have been quenched.

Oh man I played this ages ago and still remember how hot Roya and Chain was so I enjoyed this game a lot. I've forgotten a lot of the details, but I have to admit a lot of the small details do got me questioning the logic of the game sometimes.... but anyways the spicy ending shook me so much bc I DIDN'T EXPECT THATT LMAOO but I enjoyed the game very much nonetheless :3 will play Chain next! (looking forward to Ikuyo route) ((kinda hope there's Blace Jace poly route but that's kinda impossible if I remember their condition correctly))

I can't believe we finally have a Chain and Roya route! I didn't expect Dark Night - Reflections to be so intricate as a DLC (although its technically not a DLC). The writing is lovely as always --- while you don't require foreknowledge of the base game, it does deepen your understanding of the lore and worldbuilding. The sprite updates are also beautiful, and the setting feels realistic and lived-in even for an offshoot story. I'm halfway through Chain's route, and I must say that his characterization is rather complex, subverting tropes associated with the "aloof and mysterious" character. I'll always adore MC, as she's no damsel in distress, is level-headed, and exhibits a strong personality (as opposed to being a blank slate). My only nitpick so far is some stray grammatical errors here and there, but that can easily be fixed and they don't hamper immersion in any way. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this game if you're a fan of mystery otome that understands the appeal of fleshed-out characters.

[h3] “时光流逝，然而她的一瞥便足以唤醒他以为早已埋葬的一切。 他永远无法忘怀的那个人依然在此。他定要把握余生与她相伴，不留遗憾。” [/h3] 目前只打完了Roya线 先来写一下Roya线的repo 没有找到攻略 盲打的但应该所有结局都解锁了 一共有两个Romantic End和一个Normal End 还有若干个Be结局 总体来说我还是蛮喜欢的 剧本量很大 立绘和cg也比本篇要精细 女主的性格还是那样独特 盲打进了Roya线非常开心（当然最主要是我在本篇就很喜欢Roya 就是为了Roya买的dlc Roya本身性格是那种有点臭屁的 [strike] 会自己夸自己handsome [/strike] [b] 而且因为是轻浮役导致我忽略了前期的一些伏笔 [/b] 我以为你是随便说说的谁知道是真的（？轻浮役说的话能信吗！？到了某一段剧情之后我才骤然反应过来前面原来有伏笔… [i] 个人最喜欢的是Normal End 这是最完整的一个结局 [/i] [spoiler] Normal End和Romantic End的重要分歧点在于Miyoko穿越时空到百年之前以后是否把Roya父母的研究成果交给他们信任的好友 当把成果交给好友后再回到现实的时间线会发现世界已经因为之前的变化产生的蝴蝶效应 本来已经被Chain杀死的Junoru还好端端的在家里喝茶 并且穿越前已经入狱的Roya也在宅子里 Roya在这条时间线上早已经放下了仇恨 没有杀人 并且还在帮助研究人员开发治疗活死人的药物 而如果Miyoko把研究成果带回了现实的时间线则什么也没有改变 Roya还是为了复仇而去杀人 并且进入了监狱 Roya被关进监狱70年后出狱来找Miyoko Roya说尽管你变了 但我还是立刻认出了你 我希望我能够和你一起变老 你是我认识的唯一剩下的人 Roya好奇Miyoko的生活是怎么样的 Miyoko说我从未想起过你 如果这就是你想知道的 其实这段我很喜欢的一点是Roya来见Miyoko还给她带了一朵蓝色的玫瑰花 但是在后续对话中能看到养老院的护士说Miyoko已经患有痴呆症基本上不记得什么事情了 可是在之前对话时和Roya对答如流 完全看不出来已经老年痴呆了 我想Miyoko之所以还记得Roya的事 是因为Roya最后一次逃出来后再被关进监狱前对Miyoko说不要忘记我 所以她唯独记得有关Roya的一切 可她却还是要说我从未想起过你 在Roya离开养老院后他心理很复杂 他不知道他该喜悦还是悲伤 但我相信他一定会陪伴Miyoko的余生 直到她死去 哎寿命论真的太痛了...[/spoiler] 我目前猜测隐藏是Ikuya的哥哥Ikuyo Chain的测评等打完后再来编辑补充

1000000% LOVE and need more, would like a route with Kaichi and a spicy/normal romance with Chain. The one is not enough. In the extra stories having spicier routes to the other main characters and more after stories of the after... would be GREAT!!!!

I love love loved the original game and seeing the DLC came out made me so happy. I've only finished Rota's route right now but I've loved all the endings, they're so great and honestly made me rethink how I originally saw him in the base game. And the art is peak as always <3 Can't wait for the secrets and side stories to come out!!!

Очень ждала продолжение, одна из моих любимых игр в этом жанре Атмосфера, персонажи, музыка очень нравятся, рада снова окунуться в эту историю, буду с нетерпением ждать секретный рут)
