For me I just didn't find myself enjoying the mechanics at all. Very one dimensional fighting. Voice acting gives it an edge over other indie titles though it could use some improvement. The text was minimalistic and to the point which I can appreciate. Art is decent enough. If you're into the 2d hack and slash titles this is a good one to try considering it's a free title, however it's just very mediocre for me. 4.5/10
It’s an entertaining short game. There’s lore and PVE, something that everyone likes. The boss fights are the hardest to complete (I recommend you to play it with a controller). It reminded me to those old games from machines in the arcade, it gave me the same vibes. The graphics looks great. I can notice how hard they worked to make the game look visually pleasing. Pretty good hard work, well done!
Its not as bad as it could have been, but I'm glad I didn't have to pay for this and the game was free to play. The voice acting is okay. It's kind of impressive it even has voice acting, especially with the amount of voice acting that it has. It is also kind of funny at times. That said the game itself is not very impressive and could use a lot more variety. As it is, it is extremely repetitive, even for such a short game
"Dark Maidens" is a badly made amateurish side scrolling 2D brawler that objectively failed based on the SteamDB player counts. What do you do in the game? Well, you fight some stuff but there's no depth to the combat and no compelling reason to play, especially given how bad the "art" is. At least it's not pixelcrap? In terms of visuals, this features really godawful "babby's first Wacom tablet" tier "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. The deplorably bad visuals here come across as an insult to gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging a completely delusional... and don't laugh, even though it is funny... $12 USD for this. They really thought this was worth twelve bucks. That idea alone is more amusing than the entire game. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $2 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy soundtrack DLC from Steam to "support" the "developer"... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Hafif saldırı, ağır saldırı, bloklama, sahtecilik ve kaçma yapabileceğiniz gelişmiş bir savaş sistemine sahiptir. Düşmanlar karşı koyarken kolay bir galibiyet beklemeyin!
Before I played Dark Maidens, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
USER INTERFACE (UI): The pre-game UI is Great. It is easy to understand and to follow. The in-game UI is good. Function wise, they are easy to understand and give the necessary information needed. GAMEPLAY / PLAYABILITY: Great gameplay. It's a pretty exciting battle because it’s not too easy and not too difficult either. The game mechanics are great. My only little issue is, when hit, it should be an indicator that you actually hit the target or even getting hit. A suggestion: When you’re dead, the game should be going to the main menu directly. As for now, it’s just stuck on “dead mode.” CONTROLS: Controls are awesome. They all respond pretty quickly for controlling the characters. However, I would prefer a little bit faster battle movement. GRAPHICS and SOUNDS: The graphics are amazing. I love the contrast and color combinations. Great detail on the artwork. The sound effects are good. Although I would like to see more visual effects. PERFORMANCE: There is no issue with performance from loading the game, the menu and playing the game. CONCLUSION: I would definitely recommend the game. PRO: - Awesome gameplay - Easy to play - Great graphics CON: At times, it’s harder than it looks SCORE: 8 out of 10
