I don't understand the overwhelming positive reviews. It's a quite boring Shmup, at least in the first three levels (1, 2a, 2b). Maybe this changes in later level, but then I have to ask why make the first levels so dull. Everything feels so slow, the only challenge of most bigger enemies is that they have too much health, all weapon power-ups look the same except in which direction they shoot, music lets you fall asleep. And what's the deal with the forced tutorial, that "teaches" you the basics of the basics?

If you like Faster than Light, but want to do a little dogfighting instead of ship management, then you'll like this game. If you got confused & thought this was another spaceship trade/fight/expand/conquer type of game, you made a wrong turn. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, this game is like the old Bill Murry movie "Groundhog Day" where everytime you die, you start over, but with a little more knowledge & stuff to work with. Die enough times, and you stop sucking at the game. Die even more, and you might finish it.
I was sure that it would be a boring, easy game, but because it is difficult and demanding, it became very addictive. Nice music.
Kinda funny to see shooters from 30 years ago still much better than present shoot'em ups.
As a longtime fan of the sci-fi genre in gaming, I recently had the pleasure of diving into Dark Gravity: Prologue, and I must say that it left me eagerly anticipating the full release. This captivating experience delivers on multiple fronts, and here's why I'm giving it a thumbs-up. Gameplay (5/5): Dark Gravity: Prologue sets a new bar for space exploration and combat. The controls are smooth, and I was immediately drawn into the immersive universe. Whether I was dogfighting with enemy ships or exploring mysterious planets, the gameplay remained consistently exciting. The variety of ships and weaponry adds a layer of strategy that I greatly appreciated, making every encounter feel unique. Graphics (4.5/5): The visual design of Dark Gravity: Prologue is a feast for the eyes. The star systems and planets are beautifully rendered, with a remarkable attention to detail. The use of lighting and special effects truly immerses you in the vastness of space. While some minor texture pop-ins were noticeable, they did little to detract from the overall breathtaking experience. Storyline (4/5): The prologue gives us a tantalizing taste of the story to come in the full game. The world-building and lore are intriguing, leaving me with plenty of questions and a burning desire to know more. I found myself attached to the protagonist's journey and was genuinely interested in their fate. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds. Sound (4/5): The sound design in Dark Gravity: Prologue is top-notch. The haunting, atmospheric music enhances the sense of isolation in deep space, while the sound effects add an extra layer of immersion. My only slight gripe is that occasionally, the dialogue audio was slightly muffled, making it hard to catch every word. Overall (4.5/5): Dark Gravity: Prologue is a stellar introduction to what promises to be an epic sci-fi adventure. It's an absolute must-play for fans of the genre. I'm eagerly counting down the days until the full release, and I have no doubt that it will be worth the wait. Kudos to the development team for crafting such an engaging experience. Don't miss out on this one!
For free it is good enough, but I’m not sure about full game. Anyway thank you for this free version.
It is weird how small game can be funny. Thank you for free game. Full game wishlisted and waiting for release and discounts ;)
Prologue to a dynamic low-poly arcade shooter in which you can create and improve your own unique fighters. The levels vary in difficulty, and don’t forget about the difficult boss battles. Not boring gameplay and the presence of a campaign with interesting mechanics and not at all annoying graphics are huge advantages of this game.
