Pretty good little pixel point-and-click horror game. Definitely worth checking out.
Dark Fear is a unique blend of horror, fantasy, and RPG elements in a point-and-click adventure. With its captivating pixel art and chilling sound design, the game creates a haunting atmosphere. While the story may be nonsensical at times and contains contradictions, it still manages to engage players. However, the experience can feel underwhelming and repetitive. Accomplishing certain achievements can be frustrating, and some are easy to miss without a guide. Overall, Dark Fear is a short but flawed adventure that may not be for everyone. I would chose something in between a positive and negative score...
It's a pretty good retro horror themed game overall, definitely worth it on a fair sale as it gives you a few hours of entertainment. Good music and nice interface, although the big three jumpscares in it are a bit much compared to the rest of the game's simpler drawing style and interface. I will say, though, there's a couple of cons to keep in mind with this game: 1. The writing is... okay. Not very good, but not horrible. Riddled with typos and pretty simplistic overall. 2. The game's combat is supremely unbalanced. You will either have no trouble whatsoever beating an enemy encounter, or you will need to get a nearly perfect strike record in order to kill your opponent before they kill you. There are healing potions as the game progresses, but honestly the strongest one only heals about 30 more HP than the final boss does in one hit. So you can't really count on healing to keep you going for most of the harder fights. And, in order to be strong enough for these encounters, you need to grind A LOT via hunting and fishing, both for materials to upgrade your armor and for the cash to buy what you need. I really think they could have afforded to either cut down the attack power of half the enemies just a bit, or doubled the healing potency of potions at least. That being said, fairly fun game. Make sure you have a guide handy if you're after achievements, as some are easily missed.
Entretenido, con sustos y lineal.
It was good
i don't expect it to be this good. But damn, i stuck at 27% and don't know what to do with the grave and campfire.
A really great game. If you are GenX, youll love this game. Has that golden age of gaming feeling.
