A budget air hockey like game with some hentai content. It is also the first title from the Towndarktales on Steam. Worth getting? What we have here is a somewhat unique, quasi-air hockey game. Your goal is to land a ball in the opponent's 'court', i.e. strike it through an opening in the wall/fence protected by the opponent, while protecting your own. You and your enemy can both move anywhere up to the halfway of the field on your side to strike a ball. You have three stages, of which last is a siege, on each of 5 islands so total 15 stages to complete. Conquering an island yields a short waifu conquering h-scene . You also get points to improve one of 4 skills after each battle. To even the field your opponents also use skills. You can also collect chibi characters that appear on your opponent's side when you 'score a goal' while they're there. It's not a bad air hokey adaptation but there are some issues. Controls are a bit clunky and lack precision which can lead to frustration as even the easy difficulty pose a challenge at times. Also, sometimes there are collision detection problems as ball can pass through your character rather than deflect it. Still, for a budget product it is not bad. The anime character art definitely matches the budget level of this title. Seen worse but this quality is still below average in my books. The characters and conquering scenes have some crude, budget animations, but just like with the art, I have seen worse. Overall design has fantasy/fable style. Quality of it is fine at this price point so no complaints here. Music is pretty average. It matches the fantasy theme well but nothing stands out. It stays in the background, never to be remembered or heard again. There is also some voice acting. Narration is fine (but the weird font of subtitles isn't) but the goblin voice acting is at best so-so and can get annoying after some time, if not from the start. I believe that the last (5th) island is bugged as instead of three stages I had only the siege stage to battle and it was 3/3 after winning once. Also, often I would lose hp when 'scoring a goal' as if the ball landed behind my gate. Lastly, the 'don't lose trolls in Tir-na-Nog battle' achievement did not work for me after trying to get it twice. To summarise, a fairly good budget air hockey-like game with some budget anime art, budget music and budget controls. The quality sure matches the price but it can still be fun: 5/10
Barely functional trash.

Developed and published by Towndarktales, DARK FABLE is an indie fantasy arcade game that transforms the familiar mechanics of air hockey into a magical duel between powerful spellcasters. Rather than relying on a complex storyline or expansive role-playing systems, the game embraces a focused design centered on reflex-based combat and colorful fantasy presentation. The premise is simple yet imaginative: players embark on a magical journey across a series of enchanted realms, confronting an evil sorceress through increasingly challenging spell battles. Its straightforward approach makes the game immediately accessible while allowing the fantasy theme to take center stage. The adventure unfolds across five distinct fantasy regions, including mystical islands, lush forests, scenic valleys, and shimmering coastal environments. Each location introduces a fresh visual backdrop that helps the journey feel more varied despite the game's relatively focused gameplay loop. Instead of telling its story through lengthy dialogue or cinematic sequences, DARK FABLE uses its environments and magical atmosphere to convey a sense of progression. Every new destination feels like another step toward confronting the game's central antagonist, giving players a satisfying reason to continue advancing through the campaign. Gameplay revolves around magical duels inspired by the fast-paced exchanges of classic air hockey. Players must react quickly to incoming attacks, carefully direct magical projectiles, and maintain precise timing to outmaneuver their opponent. The controls are intentionally uncomplicated, allowing new players to understand the mechanics within minutes, yet mastering the rhythm of each encounter requires concentration and consistent practice. Success comes from anticipating movements, making accurate deflections, and capitalizing on openings rather than memorizing elaborate combinations. This balance between simplicity and skill keeps the action entertaining throughout the adventure. One of the game's strongest qualities is its visual identity. Bright fantasy landscapes, vibrant magical effects, and whimsical environmental designs create a charming world that feels inviting from beginning to end. Spell animations provide satisfying feedback during combat, while each battlefield carries enough unique personality to distinguish itself from the last. Although DARK FABLE is clearly a modest independent production rather than a large-budget release, the artistic direction succeeds in creating a cohesive fantasy atmosphere that complements the arcade gameplay remarkably well. Progression extends beyond simply clearing stages. Victories contribute to the gradual growth of the ruler's castle, providing players with a visible representation of their accomplishments. This light progression mechanic gives each successful battle additional purpose and helps tie individual matches into a larger objective. While castle development is not especially deep or customizable, it offers a rewarding sense of advancement that encourages players to continue overcoming increasingly difficult magical encounters. The audio presentation reinforces the game's fairy tale setting with pleasant background music and magical sound effects that fit naturally within each duel. The soundtrack maintains a lighthearted fantasy tone, while spell impacts and other effects provide clear audio cues during combat. Although the music may not be particularly memorable on its own, it effectively supports the overall mood without becoming repetitive or distracting. DARK FABLE is not without shortcomings. Players searching for an extensive campaign, intricate storytelling, or a wide variety of gameplay modes may find the experience somewhat limited. The core mechanics remain largely consistent throughout the adventure, and the modest amount of content means the game may not offer significant long-term replay value for those seeking deeper systems. However, the title never attempts to be more than it is. Its strength lies in delivering a polished, focused arcade experience built around an original fantasy concept instead of overwhelming players with unnecessary complexity. Overall, DARK FABLE succeeds as a charming fantasy arcade title that combines familiar gameplay with an appealing magical theme. Its accessible mechanics, colorful environments, enjoyable spell-based battles, and steady sense of progression make it an entertaining choice for players looking for a casual yet engaging experience. While it lacks the scale and depth of larger fantasy games, it delivers an enjoyable adventure that remains true to its vision from beginning to end. For players who appreciate quick, skill-based gameplay wrapped in an enchanting fantasy setting, DARK FABLE offers an experience that is both approachable and consistently enjoyable. Rating: 6/10
injugable. Entre que no se puede regular la velocidad del ratón y que el juego va demasiado rápido , auto goles y frustración a partes iguales.
