Really fun, kinda like Puyo Puyo but with a couple twists. Art is beautiful, multiplayer is fun and tense, needs an online mode but can live with local-coop.
An island, summer, a magical atmosphere, a group of close friends and...GHOSTS?
Story
Meet Tatana, who along with three other students (two of whom are new), is starting a new term at an exorcist school. "You're a new student at exorcist school. What do you mean, not new? You've been held back 13 times in a row???" That's what I thought when I saw the main character. Well, the first one you meet. Lanky and perpetually disgruntled (and/or) smug - Tatana (would it kill you to turn this frown upside down?) Always ready for a fight - Tutut (you aren't the brightest one, are you?) Mysterious and mystical goth - Yiyifu (a damn peacock is what you are) Kind and gentle - Kukupin (are you sure you got into the right school?) Together with them you will fight with ghosts and other characters, solve mysteries and enjoy the atmosphere of summer.

Gameplay
At first, I thought, it's was like Puyo-Puyo. Unlike Puyo-Puyo, we don't have double drops (or whatever those creatures called there) at our disposal, but individual cute little ghosts. It is them that we place in our altar. In order to remove them from the altar, we need urns. How do we get urns? It's quite simple: depending on the button we press, the ghost we choose will fall down either as a ghost or as an urn. Ghosts of the same colour standing next to each other turn into a zeppelin. Once the urn and ghost (or chain of ghosts) touch, they disappear from the altar and you get points. This system is what gives you the tactical ability to chain combos together. This system is easy to learn, but hard to master. So who's placing the ghosts on the altar? Our main characters, of which there are four. As we progress through the story, we'll play as each of them. Don't forget that in our business of exorcising ghosts, we'll have the help of special forces. Each of the characters has two of them: 1) One that helps us 2) One that hinders the enemy. Each force has its own readiness strip, which is filled by exorcising ghosts. The more combos, the faster it fills up. The game offers us three modes: 1) Story 2) Local multiplayer up to 4 people 3) Survival mode Story: We follow 4 young (or not so young) students, who are also aspiring exorcists. Each character has their own personality and their dialogues are quite interesting to read. At the same time, in the story mode, we will solve various puzzles, fight in duels and play various minigames. I guarantee that the variety will not let you get bored. Local multiplayer: It needs no introduction. Grab 3 of your friends and have a fun scuffle! If you don't have friends, they will be replaced by AI opponetns, the difficulty of which can be customised. Survival Mode: You have a timer and columns of ghosts that start moving faster. Gain points and climb to the top of the global leaderboard. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3089536121

Visuals
The artwork of the game is stunning. The hand-painted backgrounds resemble picturesque vistas that capture the imagination, and each one is packed with many intriguing details to keep you occupied for a long time. The artists' care and attention to detail is evident in every pixel. It's very, very atmospheric. The character designs are mesmerising, enchanting, overflowing with character. Each character is full of life and spirit, charismatic to boot, so you want to know more about them. The overall charm and appeal of the game's artwork is exceptional. The artist's creative talent is evident, bringing a unique element to the game that sets it apart from the competition. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3089536152

Audio
The music is quite pleasant to the ear and helps to enter the right state, depending on the task facing the player. Some tracks are relaxing, some are exciting.

Thoughts
To be honest, the game exceeded my expectations. When I first saw it, I thought it was a simple Puyo-Puyo clone, which of course turned out to be far from the truth. The game is rather reminiscent of Capcom's Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. The gameplay was incredibly addictive to me. Each time I would sit there thinking that one more battle and I would close the game, one more puzzle and that would be it. As a result, I didn't notice an hour had passed. The only thing I kinda didn't like is the difficulty of the achievements. Which in no way lessens the quality of the game. I was also very upset that Tatana, a very pretty girl, always walks around with a disgruntled smirk on her face. Every other character has a sprite with a normal facial expression. If the developers are reading the reviews, I would like to ask them to fix this detail. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3089536168
Conclusion
If you love puzzles and want a bit of a challenge in your gaming life, and you have three more friends, then this is the game for you.
《Danghost》:

I usually am not a fan of this type of game, but this one hooked me up for sure. Its accessibility alongside its mastering possibilities create an almost unlimited amount of content. A well written story mode that made me laugh way more than I would expect and local co-op modes in which you can crush your friends (or get crushed by... in my case) are currently giving me a really good time! Even though I don't have a lot of playtime as of now, I'm confident in saying that I will continue to enjoy this game and play it's future content (Dangoal local mode plz). I will look closely at what comes next from this studio :)
Weird name. Addictive game! Danghost (dan-ghost) is simple to learn but difficult to master! So far, I've started playing through the story mode, which actually gets fairly difficult early on—for me, anyway. A lot of people are comparing this to Puyo Puyo, which I've never heard of, so I can't make any comparisons. The art style is really well done, though, the characters are super weird/interesting/fun, and the whole puzzle fighter mechanic is really cool! Disclaimer: I was given a free copy by the composer of the game, not the developers, so this is an unbiased review.
Danghost is really a little gem. It has everything, the simple and fun gameplay (at the start) with a difficulty curve that ends quite steeply. Incredible artistic direction, graphics, illustrations, animations. A pleasant universe and a conceited-without-conceit hero gang that recall Toriyama. Simple story and dialogues but nicely tied, with plot twists and a lot of humor. A wonderful soundtrack. A few hours of feel-good pleasurable solo game, and I think a lot more to come in multiplayer. Hugely, warmly, heartily recommended.
