Daily OVR Free make you simply view and use your desktop apps in VR. You can adjust the position, size and transparency, bind desktop windows to controllers, HMD or the world, type with a VR keyboard, customize button settings, detect and display objects (ex: keyboard) by machine learning.

Daily OVR Free is a free version of Daily OVR. It provides minimum essential overlay features. We think it would benefit a lot of VR users! :) If you like Daily OVR Free and want to use advanced features, you can consider purchasing Daily OVR.
This enabled me to watch Tiger King while playing Elite Dangerous in VR. Hard to top that. Thanks Devs!

Just buy OVR Toolkit
⠀
in der kostenlosen variante kann man wunderbar beim Streamen den abgedockten Chat von Youtube oder Twitch auf die Rückseite der linken Hand legen. Mehr brauche ich garnicht.
Tried OVR toolkit and it was a complete mess so I refunded and tried Daily OVR, it worked first try the windows were smooth and were capable of high frame rates. Best part, didn't cost me $14 just to watch youtube in vr.
While it does let you do some neat things, it limits how much you can do with the free version. I was confused and didn't know how to use it at first, but by the time I figured it out, it wouldn't let me do much else with it. I would just recommend buying the full version if you actually wanted to do more than 1 thing with it
Daily OVR Free is free to play VR tool that let you have some apps appear in a window during VR usage. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok. This is the Free version, so it is Limited by design so you can try it for free and they hope you buy the paid version. Try this if you need to see other programs while in-game.
it works for vr and i use it all the time
