About

I am writing this under an appreciable mental strain, since by tonight I shall be no more.
Dagon is a 3D narrative experience in madness based on the cult short story of the same title by the master of cosmic horror and weird fiction, H. P. Lovecraft himself. It’s an interactive portal into the world of the controversial genius and his highly acclaimed Cthulhu Mythos, open to both newcomers and long-time devotees.

The change happened whilst I slept.

Reviews
Gut erzählte Kurzgeschichte von HP Lovecraft. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Dauer ca 1 Stunde.
i love Lovecraft stories so much, they were never scary for me but very interesting and addictive

Gra na 12 minut
I think it a shame that HP didnt get the recognition he deserved until after his death as many artists do. But this game is a nice way to show how much the devs appreciate the themeing
Knowing little about Lovecraft, this was a enjoyable and informative 30-minute horror story. The story itself is interspersed with interesting information about Lovecraft, including several quote on a variety of topics. For low price of free, you can't go wrong. If you hate jump scares, you won't find them here. Just existential terror.
There are games that scare you with monsters. Others rely on loud noises, endless chases, or rivers of blood. Dagon does none of that. Instead, it whispers. It lets your imagination wander into places your mind was never meant to reach, and somehow that becomes far more unsettling than any jump scare ever could. Adapted from H.P. Lovecraft's classic short story, Dagon isn't really a game in the traditional sense. It's an interactive tale, one that lasts barely half an hour, yet manages to leave a mark that lingers much longer. As you walk through the memories of a broken man, reality slowly unravels. The sea stops feeling like a place of wonder and becomes something ancient—something that existed long before humanity and will remain long after we're gone. What makes Dagon memorable isn't its gameplay. There are no complex mechanics to master or difficult challenges to overcome. Its greatest strength is atmosphere. The haunting narration, the oppressive sound design, and the bleak visuals work together to create a feeling of insignificance. You aren't the hero of this story. You're simply another witness to something your mind cannot comprehend. Lovecraft's greatest horror was never the creature itself—it was the realization that humanity is small, fragile, and utterly irrelevant in the grand scheme of the universe. Dagon understands that perfectly. It never rushes to show you everything. It allows the unknown to breathe, knowing that what you imagine will always be more terrifying than what can be rendered on a screen. It won't satisfy players looking for action or deep gameplay, and that's perfectly fine. This experience was never trying to be another horror blockbuster. It's a quiet descent into madness, a love letter to cosmic horror, and a reminder that sometimes the oldest stories still have the sharpest teeth. For a free experience lasting less than an hour, Dagon proves that horror doesn't need to scream to be unforgettable. Sometimes all it takes is a lonely sea, an impossible monolith... and the terrible feeling that humanity has never truly been alone.
