能理解“有理由打低分”的人，因为作为游戏形式可能缺乏一些游戏性，但是就我个人而言还是比较惊喜的，在steam上能遇到这样一份外行入门（密码学）指南是很宝贵的体验——更何况完全不贵，性价比拉满了。 很喜欢这种对本专业的知识不想学，对别的专业的东西学起来可起劲的感觉（bushi）

Cypher é um jogo que entende muito bem como transformar aprendizado em algo realmente interessante. Em vez de explicar tudo de forma direta, ele faz o jogador sentir curiosidade genuína em aprender como cada sistema funciona. Resolver uma cifra aqui não parece só completar um puzzle, mas entender a lógica por trás de uma mensagem escondida. Uma das melhores partes é como o jogo desperta interesse real por criptografia. Jogando, comecei a aprender mais sobre a cifra Vigenère e sobre a Enigma Machine, não apenas como conceitos históricos, mas como métodos que realmente exigiam raciocínio, interpretação e atenção aos padrões. O jogo consegue ensinar sem parecer uma aula, e isso faz toda a diferença. Também é impossível não pensar no caso da cifra Z340 do Zodiac Killer, decifrada em 2020 por David Oranchak, Sam Blake e Jarl Van Eycke após décadas sem solução. A mensagem completa dizia: "I HOPE YOU ARE HAVING LOTS OF FUN IN TRYING TO CATCH ME THAT WASN’T ME ON THE TV SHOW WHICH BRINGS UP A POINT ABOUT ME I AM NOT AFRAID OF THE GAS CHAMBER BECAUSE IT WILL SEND ME TO PARADICE ALL THE SOONER BECAUSE I NOW HAVE ENOUGH SLAVES TO WORK FOR ME WHERE EVERYONE ELSE HAS NOTHING WHEN THEY REACH PARADICE SO THEY ARE AFRAID OF DEATH I AM NOT AFRAID BECAUSE I KNOW THAT MY NEW LIFE WILL BE AN EASY ONE IN PARADICE DEATH" É interessante perceber como casos reais como esse tornam a criptografia ainda mais fascinante quando você começa a entender os métodos usados por trás das cifras. Cypher pode parecer simples visualmente, mas é um jogo muito inteligente na maneira como desperta curiosidade e transforma conhecimento em parte do próprio gameplay.

I don't believe any people solved the whole game by their own, or not 99.9999% of people. Some hints are even more confusing for someone doesn't already know the answer, and the answer is stupidly quirky and specific, and it wouldn't take a dumbass to know the answer after he knows the specific quirk. Sometimes you can solve a puzzle within 5 minutes but the next one will take 5 hours and you have tracked every pixel placement of the puzzle and still got no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue, because of that specific quirk. It's like that famous avgn example, in Castlevania 2, you must carry an orb to a place then kneel for a set of time, then a tornado out of nowhere will carry you to the next stage, very fun, very intelligent of you to figure that out. It only adds frustration when you find out the stupid secret. Maybe that's because I don't have prior knowledge to cryptology or whatnot. Not single player friendly, no pattern learning practice, not beginner friendly.

I was prepared to get a lecture over a puzzle game but still, this game feels worse than reading a textbook because there's nothing to learn from...
