Cyborg Arena is a shooter game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world infested by Cyborgs. You are a soldier, driving around in the desert and trying to find an evacuation point. Along your journey you need to battle hordes of cyborgs, which sounds fun... but it isn't! In CSGO you learn to make headshots, in this game you learn that a kick is just as effective if not more deadly. I was shooting endlessly on enemies but they wouldn't go down, so I ran towards them and found out I had to kick them instead... I'm absolutely speechless lol... The game looks absolutely terrible... The enemies always know where you are, you can't hit the enemies but they can hit you for some reason. Even though, Driving around feels bad because the car often doesn't react, it is your best friend since enemies can't damage the car so you can't get killed inside it. You can drive over the enemies too, so stay inside your car at all times! The map is filled with big rocks, and you can drive right through them, at every border there are a few obstacles where they want you to get out of the car to shoot another horde of cyborgs... But I found out you could also drive over the higher mountains so you can skip those boring and super annoying hordes too. The list of the things wrong with this game is endless! Sorry for sounding so negative or ungrateful since I received this game for free, but I find honesty very important! I don't think anyone should buy this game because its an absolute mess.

Warning: Asset Flip!
Cyborg Arena is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Engine asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. It's important to also note the "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. This asset flip is a basic Unreal Engine copy + paste arena shooter (but you can drive a car, so the developer ripped off that bit too). The developer has a prior history of Unreal Engine asset flips of deplorably low quality, desperately trying to get your money for the work of others... the developer always claims credit for all the assets they used, as if they made them themselves. You can see how such intellectual and moral bankruptcy results in such trashware games. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. There is an option for AZERTY keyboards, but other international layouts are left in the dark. Control customisation requires a basic level of game development ability, which is why it's lacking in this asset flip. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Cyborg Arena didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for killing a small number of asset flipped enemies, trivial to get, but less than 25 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality game this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Cyborg Arena has the comically over-optimistic price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
Boring game. Want to give games like this a chance but it prove me right again. ♥♥♥♥♥♥. There is a mission where you need to find 4 batteries, I have searched for so long and couldn't find the last one. There was no map given, no direction. Just plain driving around and around. I quit in the end because it's really long and boring. Could have been better if there was map or direction given so players wouldn't be wasting their time.
Follow my curator page for more recommendations!
You remember all those straight-to-VHS movies that ripped off Terminator? This is like one of those. The lowest quality one. The one that you couldn't sit through more than 5 minutes of. I enjoyed this developer's previous two titles, Action Alien and Aerial Destruction. They weren't amazing, but they were fun and worth the dollar or two they go on sale for often. This however, wasn't worth the 67 cents I paid. I wouldn't recommend this even for free. It's not good. For one thing, it's lacking in almost all PC options you'd expect. There's no rebinding of keys, barely any graphic settings, and for some reason 2560x1440 doesn't work, even though it's one of the resolution options. You can't adjust any settings while in-game, meaning you need to go in-game, see how stupidly loud the game is by default and what the mouse sensitivity is like, then exit to the main menu and adjust. However, there's no saving in-game. No checkpoints. Nothing. So when you quit out you'll lose all progress. You have to beat this game in one sitting, I guess. I gave up after 20 minutes, the game isn't worth my time. The gunplay feels terrible, there's no aiming down sights (right mouse button does a kick attack), and gun sound effects are horrible. Vehicles control terribly and flip easily with no way to flip back over, so have fun running across an empty desert for 10 minutes to get to the next objective. Enemies hitscan you from half a mile away, so have fun getting your health chipped away at while you can't even see them. You see all four weapons in the first 10 minutes (they're also in the store description). The voice acting is atrocious and they can't even pronounce "hanger". The story is almost entirely nonexistent. This could've been a neat Terminator-esque game. You already had the wasteland, you had a laser weapon, and you had cyborgs (though they look awful and are clearly pre-made assets). Oh well, the developer doesn't care about this game. It hasn't been updated in over a year, and now they've released what looks like another asset-heavy game where you just drive over zombies. Such a shame, Action Alien and Aerial Destruction gave me hope that this developer was one to keep an eye on.
Wack.
You drive in the desert in search of a way to contact your headquarter with plenty of cyborgs to destroy on your way. Tons of grenades and ammo to grab although no friendly militaries to help you but you can hear their radio communication to have more insight. Graphics were improved with less darkness and smaller shader vignette since the last update so I give thumbs up for the dev for listening to its community.
This game is absolutely terrible. There is no RNG for whether or not bullets hit you. Enemies NEVER miss even from 100s of meters away, it's such BS...
