This is little project in the spirit of endless runner genre, so as this a real CyberPunk style project, this is... buggy, synthwavy, peace of junk-art. Cyber Space Driver... Drive straight, that's it.

Hi all o7 The game looks nice, drives nice and has some funny interactions ^^ I also like the cartoons that show on the screen in the garage. Would be cool to see it get more updates and ideas implemented in the future. Good job developer! LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE! o7

The driving is horrible, seems to use flipped assets, and frequently drops frames and/or crashes due to poor optimization, hard pass for me.
Cyber Space Driver is a free to play 3d fps driving game. Worked on Win 11, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has four maps to drive: dessert, freeway to Mars, blade runner air car, cyberpunk city freeway. Two of the freeways have traffic that you can run into and if you turn too sharp you slide and hit the side walls, often get stuck on the side walls. Has some good music included. Dessert is open to drive everywhere off road. The air car stops if you try turning off the path, but does not have much in way of traffic to hit. Sort of funny. For a student project, it is pretty good. Maybe try this game, might like it for a few hours.
Thank you for making this the visuals are amazing the handling is great the environments are beautiful what do you do .....drive the one criticism i can make is how the flying mode feels a bit off but for free definitely recommend 9/10 i will be using this for a few more visual story videos while i am learning new programs and incorporating into my videos play it listen to your music and chill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC-NGyGARI4
A relaxing "endless road" driver with retrowave aesthetics, nice graphics, good music, and amusing cheesy quips. There are four environments: two are of the same city (with different viewpoints), one is a space highway (by far the most elaborate), and one is a desolate desert road with day/night cycle.
Okay, i want to be completely straighforward with it: It feels like a technical demo . Is it bad? No, not at all. As the description says, it is a project from some students, so lets cut some slack for that. However, it is not a full game at all, not even a trial i would say atm. I am glad to see that the project has received an update a few weeks before this review, since it has a lot of things that could be improved and is an AWESOME idea.
What i like
[olist] [*]The graphic part of the game is astonishing, with some fancy good visuals and a setting that quite obviously takes inspo in Cyberpunk 2077, but not as a bad thing at all. [*] The flying car level is a really good idea [*] The concept is really enjoyable and a really good starting point. [/olist]
What i would upgrade/add
[olist] [*]Controller support/wheel support [*]Car handling, right now is so easy to just drift the rear end of the car without analog inputs. [*]A way for the game to recognize when audio is being played from an app or even in general, so you dont have to manually put the songs in the files. [/olist]
A bit more in depth comment and conclusions
It is, again, a superb idea. But if you want to really make it enjoyable, you should add eventually things such as: controlling the traffic density, more car options for the same track, and what i mentioned earlier of the game detecting the songs automatically and the synth doing its thing in consequence since most people (myself included) dont have any music downloaded, we simply listen to it through streaming. Also, i would focus the aim of this game into something like Shutoko (a highway driving mod with traffic for assetto corsa) and its experience in a more arcade-ish way, if you manage to bring those cyberpunk vibes into something like that mod with controller and/or wheel support and tweaking a bit the car handling for it to be a bit more steady, i would stay for hours in here no doubt. I cant emphasize enough how good of an idea this is, and i would love to see the project if it is continued. But sadly, at this moment it is not the most enjoyable experience, though not horrible by any means, just needs some improvement. All things considered, the possibilities are huge and hopefully I will be spending lots of hours into this game, thx for the effort devs. P.S. This is just a nitpicky comment, but if this ever gets steam deck compatible with the controller that would be awesome as well, but since i dont know how easy/hard it is to do, I wont add it to the main comment.
vibe and chill game!
