The house, which was once majestic, has now been taken over by malevolent spirits. Nothing matters to them but the Amulet's power. It is rumoured that strange coins strewn throughout the castle have the capacity to restore the amulet's potency and permanently expel the ghosts.
OH LOOK, A NEW HOUSE ON THE MARKET!
I've been trying to exorcize the demons from this house for 13 years...maybe 13 will be my lucky number!?! Perhaps this time, I will be able to banish this evil and send it back to the bowels of He[insert double L's] I've got to make a quick trip to Walmart to stock up on supplies. Wooden Stakes are sold in the garden center, right? This is one of my favorite Match 3 games of all time because it requires tasks to be completed in a specific order; it's a thinking kind of game! Thanks, Igore, for including a Hint button, lol. You can play in a Relaxed Mode, a Limited Time Mode, or a Limited Moves Mode, and this is one of the few games that I play in Limited Moves Mode versus Limited-Time because of the Strategy involved; it just makes more sense to be able to plot your next move. A Match 4 will give you Dynamite, and a Match 5, 6, and 7 will give you a Morphing Power-up (just click when it's on the desired power-up) The Morphing Power-up choices include a TNT Barrel, Lightning which removes all of one kind of tile (whatever it is swapped with), or a Rocket which targets objects from most important to least important depending on what obstacles remain. The chosen morph can be canceled within 10 seconds by right-clicking. Power-ups are usually a critical component because most coins are blocked by obstacles that require a power-up to destroy them, and most often by a specific power-up. Collecting Coins is always the goal, and there are several different types of Coins that can be collected with an adjacent match, but they are usually blocked by an obstacle that requires a specific power-up: $~Gold Coins: adjacent match $~Dust Coins: adjacent match twice $~Frozen Coins: direct Fire to melt $~Trunk Coins: adjacent match (collect all to open Trunks) $~Locked Coins: move the key to the lock$~Coin Molds: move gold drops to fill the molds. $~Half Coins: clear a path between halves until they adjoin.$~Bug Coins: destroy the bugs to unlock the coin. $~Cursed Coins: destroy with light. $NEW-Coins & Cursed Coins that drop and are invulnerable to Rockets! There are Obstacles that require using strategies to overcome. Lots and lots of Obstacles, some old, some new, but always challenging: ☆~Magnets: will magnetize all rocket power-ups and lightning ☆~Bombs: requires an adjacent match, Lightning, or Cannons to detonate.☆~Darkness: requires a direct ray of light (light is reflected by mirrors, etc.) ☆~Trunks: collect all Trunk Coins then make an adjacent match near Trunk to open. ☆~Crates: adjacent match or power-up.☆~Shielded Crates: adjacent match near unshielded sides or power-up. ☆~Cannon: adjacent match next to the wick. ☆~Shields: place shields in front of cannonball fire to ricochet the ball (shields have directional arrows showing the direction the ball will travel) ☆~Bugs: use power-ups or cannons to destroy them. ☆~Vials: move liquid drops to fill vials that block areas. ☆~Papyrus: make matches in the sequence shown on the papyrus to remove it. ☆~Ground Tiles: make an adjacent match. ☆~Lava Stones: use power-ups or cannons to destroy them. ☆~Fog: adjacent match or cannons. ☆~Ice: make a match with the tile inside the Ice. ☆~Snow: adjacent match or fire ☆~Chains: adjacent match or cannons. ☆~Crests: remove the required number of specified tiles shown inside the bubble. ☆~Red & Green Cells: adjacent matches or power-ups. ☆~Red & Green Hot Stones: remove all Red & Green Cells. ☆~Locks: create a path for the Key towards the Lock. ☆~Electricity Emitters: create a continuous path of Blue tiles from Emitter to Bulb. (single adjacent electricity tiles can be moved into place) After playing a few Match 3 levels, you can play a Mini-Game that does include a Skip feature & can be replayed. My personal favorites are the Spot The Differences scenes; in my opinion, nobody does a better job with this mini-game because they do an incredible job of making the obvious not-so-obvious. I love the Diamond Push game, where you use a ladybug to push diamonds into place, hopefully without getting stuck in a corner. The Hidden Object Scenes have incredibly well-blended objects as well. 110 levels of puzzle-M3 fusion which are more challenging than some of the recent Cursed House games. The goal in every level is to collect all the coins, which charge up the Amulet that slowly removes the curse from the house. The puzzles seem to be more well-thought out this time in that the solutions aren't as repetitive as a recent other game this developer released. Most of the puzzles have 7 or 8 steps, so aren't baby easy, but not impossibly difficult if you spend some time studying the levels to see what you can do next. There are still an awful lot of minigames which appear every few levels. Most of them (25) are Sokoban "push the box" (in this case, gems), but also a mix of one-up one-down solitaire (15), hidden object scenes (2), and spot the difference (8) scenes. Not only is this rather excessive IMO, but the order in which the minigame types appear doesn't seem that well executed because sometimes you get 2 Sokoban games almost on top of each other, and other times it's like there's nothing but solitaire or spot the difference. The way the house gets "un-cursed" near the end of the game makes me wonder if extra levels were thrown in just to extend the game more. I'd have been happy with less levels and definitely less minigames. But otherwise, doesn't disappoint for the Cursed House series.
"Cursed House 12" is an atypical match-3 game with minigames as bonus. It runs flawlessly and it will stimulate your brain! A very tricky match-3 with power-ups and unique ways to solve the puzzles. You get to banish the evil creatures and through the use of an ancient amulet that you slowly power up through the use of coins that are found in the castle, to restore it to its former glory! The game contains a variety of minigames such as Spot the Difference, Hidden Objects and others. The levels themselves are hard but leave an impression and above all they are fun. So you will be glad it wasn't a piece of cake that required no thinking and ended in 10 minutes. The visual effects, animations and music will help a lot in keeping you calm and focused on the task at hand. If you are stuck, you can use the hint system, which I find very good, comprehensive and helpful. On top of that, they have added a beautifully crafted grimoire as help. It will keep you busy for hours but without overstaying its welcome and you can always replay it due to its nature. One of the most fun and intriguing match-3 puzzle games out there. 第31关新出现的机制让我直呼卧草。 音乐很棒。
I have played all the Cursed House games and love them. They are entertaining and I especially like the Sokoban puzzles.
I don't know what the other reviewers are so excited about. Nothing has changed in this game compared to its predecessor. If you own any game in the series...then you've seen almost everything...new levels...well, that's for sure. But what really spoiled the fun for me is: This cheap Match-3 game requires me to be constantly online. That might make sense if there were online components...like players or leaderboards...but for a game released in 2023, that's reason enough for me to throw it away. Besides, as I said before: it's basically the same game as all the others...and there are much better Match-3 games.
Not as good as Cursed House 13, but still enjoyable.
Curse House! One of the best in Match 3 goodness!
