About
Cursed Companions is a co-op horror game that responds to every word the players say. Every player is cursed with a forbidden word, like "Okay" or "I think". If anyone says it, the player takes damage.

When you say the right words, you can heal your friends or disarm traps.
"Mommy loves you... I'm sorry, I'm sorry... IT'S IN THE BOOK! IT'S IN THE BOOK!" - MichiMochievee
But when you say the wrong words (i.e. "Follow me!") you could wipe out your team.

Dungeons are randomly generated, every run is a brand-new experience.

Over twenty different monsters to encounter and "befriend".
"[The Foul Moth] kinda looks like a Labubu." - QuarterJade.
Watch your mouth! The Foul Moth punishes players who swear.
Roast or get roasted! Shout "Who's your Daddy!" to send the Meatgrinder packing!
Scare The Bride away! Bad pickup lines and awkward confessions are your best defense!

Team up and tackle a variety of co-op modes. Battle bosses in two standalone stages or dive into tougher dungeons in Challenge Mode. Push your limits in Endless Mode to see how long you can survive.

Monsters aren’t the real threat in Traitor Mode; your so-called friends are. It’s a chaotic social deduction mode where Traitors secretly sabotage the mission.
But don’t be too obvious as others can call an "Emergency Meeting" to vote you out!
Unlock unique skins as rewards for your greatest achievements! Kill bosses, survive brutal challenges, or simply get killed in unique circumstances.
“Oh that’s nice… I can be a knight!” - Foolish

Customize your home and let your friends see how cursed your taste really is!

Cannot recommend until the crashing issue goes away. cannot even make it through one day solo, sometimes not even into the very first building. i would like to recommend it but can't if i can't even play it properly. seems fun tho
160+ hours played I honestly think Cursed Companions is one of the most underrated co-op games out there. The game is built around communication. You defeat monsters by speaking the correct phrases, everyone gets cursed words they must avoid saying, and many mechanics depend on what your team says. It creates some of the funniest and most chaotic moments I've had in a multiplayer game. There's plenty of content: three Acts with different bosses, Challenge Mode, Endless Mode for those who enjoy pushing themselves, and Traitor Mode (up to 16 players), which gives strong Among Us vibes. Normal runs support up to 8 players, and that's where the game shines. Solo is still fun for achievement hunting, but playing with friends is a completely different experience. One of the biggest reasons I've spent over 160 hours here is the developers. They're incredibly active, respond quickly, fix bugs, and genuinely listen to community feedback. The official Discord is also great for reporting issues, suggesting features, getting achievement help, or simply finding teammates. The game isn't perfect. Since maps are procedurally generated, you'll occasionally find a bug, and voice recognition can be tricky if English isn't your first language (I have a strong Slavic accent myself). However, both problems have workarounds, and the developers improve the game constantly. If public lobbies seem empty, don't assume the game is dead. Many people play in private groups, and the Discord is the easiest place to find others. You can also play across regions without noticeable lag. I'm not even a horror game fan, but this game got me into the genre. There are monsters and tension, but it isn't filled with cheap jump scares, making it a great entry point for players like me. This is a small indie game made by a passionate team, and it has huge potential. At full price it's already worth it, and with the current 30% discount, it's an easy recommendation. Bring a few friends, give it a chance, and don't let this hidden gem disappear.
The idea is fun, but it is very clunky and has heaps of technical issues. For one, what I noticed the most was a memory leak. Over just two games, my memory usage went from 3 GB to 5 GB and kept climbing. This was my main issue. The stuttering and janky animations aren't too bad, seeing as you understand what is happening. And the fact that new monsters and the rerolling of cursed words keep the game from feeling too stale. But that only lasts for a few full games until the novelty wears off.
its alright for a multiplayer friendslop, but i was not rly interested into playing many levels - easy to get a fill of, also microphone word detection is BAD
This is one of those games that you and your friends get, play one time and never open it again. Voice chat gimmick is interesting but I got my fill after one session. 5/10
Game ran like ♥♥♥♥ lol, wouldn't let me use the scroll wheel at all to change item inventory, there is literally no settings to change the mouse controls so that I could fix this. Refunded after like 20 minutes and going to yapyap lol
First time loading into this game there was this girl that didnt speak that much english and we still all had fun teaching her and showing her how to talk and play at the same time!
Gets repetitive.
tiktok game. Once people stop talking about it on tiktok No one plays it
I hate giving a bad review, especially since it seems like the devs care about this game, but I don't really think this game is very great. It feels kinda broken, kinda incomplete, kinda unbalanced, kinda lackluster. I only have two hours in the game, which might be too little to give a review that gives justice to the game, but after those two hours, I honestly didn't feel like going back again. It left a bad taste in the back of my mouth, and it lingers. There are other friendslop games that are way better than this. I'd go for one of those. Sorry.
