About
Ahoy, ye port rats! It be time to leave the land for the lily-livered and set sail into the cursed waters of Curse of Pirates — a swashbuckling action roguelike where honor, luck, and good ol' rum decide yer fate!
Become a captain whose fame echoes across all seven seas! Explore the far corners of the ocean, hunt for ancient treasure maps, and slice through hordes of enemies: sea monsters, ruthless corsair scoundrels, undead fiends, nightmarish beasts, and even cursed gods of the deep! And watch out for those damned parrots — they're a real nuisance!
But don’t dawdle, ye scallywags! Add the game to your Wishlist, subscribe for updates on Steam, and don’t miss yer chance to join the playtests and free demos.
All hands on deck!
Become the captain of yer destiny!
You be an ambitious captain of a rickety ship with grand dreams. Want to rule the pirate world and become the fiercest and richest Pirate King? Then prepare to traverse fire, water, and a storm of cannon fire!
Curse of Pirates be:
⚓ Endless waves of foes! Enemies will keep comin’ at ye, stronger and craftier with each attack. Use yer wits to navigate between islands and sea monsters!
⚓ Hundreds of unique builds! Mix and match skills to change your combat style, boost yer weaponry, and even turn the tide of battle!
⚓ Epic maritime campaigns! Several acts filled with brutal bosses will take ye through whirlpools, ship graveyards, and the lairs of monsters thirsting for yer blood!
⚓ The true pirate life! Enough languishing in port with a barrel of rum—hoist the sails and set forth for new adventures!
Hire a crew or ye might regret it!
Ye can’t survive alone on the sea! A gallery of unique characters awaits ye, each with their own stories, quirks, and deadly skills:
☠ Ghostly captains who summon the dead!
☠ Dark cultists dabbling with ancient powers!
☠ Zar’Kul, a spawn of the abyss, bringing chaos and destruction!

Who will be yer loyal mate? A fiery-haired beauty with a big heart? A ghost captain with unfinished business? Or perhaps something much darker… Choose wisely and be ready for the consequences!
Where be the map? We need a map!
In the grand tradition of pirate tales, ye shall embark on dangerous adventures in search of ancient treasures, not all of which ye truly want to find. A map and the ability to alter the terrain will aid ye, allowing for the addition or removal of elements on the battlefield. True pirates don’t sail blindly! Seek out ancient treasure maps, but beware—not all that glitters is worth the haul. Change the land to shift the course of battle!
🎶 Sing pirate shanties with yer crew, keeping spirits high before the storm!
A meeting with other ambitious captains approaches, many of whom may seem familiar. But who among ye will become a legend, and who will sink to the depths, becoming mere shark bait?
Fifteen men on the dead man's chest—
...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!
Drink and the devil had done for the rest—
...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!
All hands on deck!
Cast off the lines, hoist the sails! Full speed ahead to glory and riches! ☠🏴☠️

Most of the scenes have some readablity problems. For example chapter 1 episode select i lose my selection. Also travel A doeasnt work except first one. also interface is not usually controller friendly. some scenes still shows "Alt" or etc. and sometimes does unexpected behaviour. for example in the chapter select i pressed up in the dpad to select upper episode but instead of selection going up, help menu appears and it was very confusing. anyway. ulvi, you did nothing but complain but still suggest the game, what is that about? Starting with vampire survivor i played severeal survivors such as soulstone survivor, achilies survivor, and couple others, and I think this game has a very good soul and potential. I understand the motivation and struggle to do a good work. if poolished it will became one of the good experiences for a gaming industry. loved the idea and i will not refund as a donation to the developers. congrats and good luck.
it aight, i like the character sprites.
I had a great time; I wasn't just playing to kill time—I really got into the game.
Bought it for the pirate vibe, stayed for the gameplay. It’s basically a Vampire Survivors-style roguelike but with ships, rum, and pure sea chaos. The action gets intense fast. Super addictive loop, easy to lose track of time. Great pick if you’re into roguelikes and pirate themes.
Fun for the first 48 deaths then gets repetitive and slightly boring. ~~As this is still in early stages im letting life support do its thing.~~ Nevermind I saw when it was released, pull the plug and charge your phone. Pros. Pirates, Great 1900 style graphics, achievements. Cons. Youll die when selecting your perks, youll die when you blink, youll die when you look away, youll die from level up cut scenes. gonna uninstall and wait till next year to see if any improvements are made.
Interesting concept but: a) You cannot skip animations or text. Super annoying. The reason why I refunded this game. If I have to see every chest opening animation etc. every single time I don't want to play this game anymore. Especially in a rogue like game where you are supposed to die - repeat - die - get stronger etc. this is just annoying. b) Settings are limited to the absolut minimum c) Some text is not translated. You'll see strings like "Weapon XY: Chance: {%Chance%}". So no idea whatever chance you'll get.
if you like vampire survivors this game will be fun for you
