Cubey Quarry is a simple clicker/idler. No progress while closed. Simple mechanic, progression, and interactivity. It's ok for a free title. Nothing particularly stands out.
~5hrs solo to 100% cute little idle game - no offline progression sad (if there was you would beat it too quick)
#1375
Cubey Quarry
Gierka typu idle/clicker, rozgrywka staje się monotonna i pozbawiona większego sensu. Naszym zadaniem jest kopać daną skałę by zarobić pieniądze i ulepszać nasz ekwipunek. Gra pozbawiona czegoś by wciągnięta nas na dłużej.
I click click click until I max out. My hands are tired now. tq.
Though the game is free there is nothing rewarding besides that. Here are some quality updates that would make it more worth it; Instead of having to click or even hold down for the Grinder and the Furnace there should either be an option/key-bind to max fill or just have it automatically max fill with one click. The drill doesn't really need that and I think holding it would be fine. As someone else said, if you play it as is then you'll probably get a repetitive strain injury. (Which is true for me because my fingers hurt now T-T) With the long wait times now gone small interactive animations could be added to make the game-play a little more immersive. Maybe even something blowing by on the screen or a little bug that crawls around, anything honestly. You could even have a background npc just walking around and mining random spots. The upgrades vs cost should have a quality update. If there is literally no ending and the only reward is 4 measly steam awards, tell me why would I continue upgrading the rarity % or even the max idle time. It requires so much per 5%... Once you get past a certain point there is no reason to continue. Especially if the only thing you have going for it is achievements, then you should especially focus on getting your players to even want to do that in the first place, if not what is even the point of any of this? Lastly with the upgrades fixed there needs to be something at the end once everything is upgraded. Steam awards don't even count since they're actually even apart of the game itself. In the end the only thing I like is how the upgrades will slowly change and add objects to the background, which is cute and endearing.
Fine if you just want a crude idler. But even as an idler there could be so much more to animate or do or collect.
