Unexpectedly Fun and Addictive. I didn’t expect to spend almost two hours on a simple first person platformer. The game has 17 levels, if you’re skilled enough you can finish them in about an hour and even earn all the achievements. I enjoy this type of game so I decided to push myself into the world’s top 100. It’s not easy especially after 4 years of release, but still doable on some levels, and it felt incredibly satisfying. Like most games in this genre, Crystal Call features wall running, double jumps, sliding and dashing. I call it simple because there aren’t any complicated abilities like a hook for rotating around the map. However, despite the basic mechanics, the game adds shooting mechanics, where you can hit an enemy or trigger extra platforms. One feature I never saw in other games is the ability to pause the game. I didn’t use this much, but I assume the dev included it to make the game accessible to wilder players. Each level takes around 30 seconds to a minute to complete. For me the most difficult level actually being the first level, where it teaches basic movements and it takes me ages to pass a big gap. Glad I never saw this design again on another level. My only complaint is that I don’t really understand how the final scores are calculated, and the leaderboards rank based on score rather than time. Besides the global leaderboard, you can challenge yourself to collect all the green orbs in tricky spots within each level. It's a nice little game, I recommend it to all players. Free parkour game that challenges paid games in quality. How far up the leaderboard can you get? - 8/10 Crystal Call is a great free-to-play parkour game, made by a students class. There are 16 levels to dash through while trying to climb up the leaderboards. You have several abilities, like sliding, wall-running, dashing and time-slow. Later in the game you also have to deal with stationary enemies that shoot you. In each level you can find a green orb, that is usually off the normal line and a bit tricky to get. It grants you a time bonus, making it a necessity for getting a good time. There is also a so-called “heatbar” that rises by dashing, sliding and wall-running. You will also find some shortcuts on the maps which grant you yet another time advantage on the leaderboards. Combine all theses tricks, and try getting up the leaderboards yourself. The only downsides are a lack of content, which is not really a big deal considering it’s free, and some bugs. The cursor-speed is tied to the fps, so even on low-speed settings the cursor flys across the screen without an FPS-limit. Another annoying thing was a soft-lock in one of the later levels when trying to restart the level. Every now and then the game glitched out when restarting, making me unable to move while showing the level and the leaderboards at the same time. Restart was the only option. This hindered leaderboard-hunting on that level. 100%-Achievement-Difficulty: Easy, can be done in a short amount of time, if you don’t hunt any leaderboard times. Zwinność kontra grawitacja. Pokonujesz wiszące ruiny i opcjonalnie kolekcjonujesz zielone orby. Gra ma fenomenalne sterowanie i mechanikę ruchu - symulator Spider-Mana. Początkowo zalicza się głównie upadki, ale koniec końców świetnie się bawiłem, 10/10.
