About

In the mood for a story? The Creep has picked these out just for you...
Creepshow is a collection of twisted, self-contained tales where the humor is dark, and the endings are… not what you expected. Each story drops you into a nightmare with new characters, new horrors, and a fate that you won’t see coming.

Follow Danny and his friends as a bad day at the mall turns into something much, much worse.
Their search for the truth of what happened to Danny’s father turns dark as they uncover sinister secrets.
Fate brings Danny to The Reader, a mysterious fortune-teller, who has a taste for treacherous tales.
Expect pulp-inspired visuals, a tone that plays up the camp without losing its wit, and endings that hit hard. The horror here isn't just trying to scare you... It's about enjoying the whole thing a little too much.

All the thrills and chills you expect from Shudder's Creepshow
Play through one overarching narrative, with two additional self-contained stories
Stylized comic-book environments with horror mini-games throughout each story

Seems like it would be a solid game but I can’t progress past the second chapter. When I go to feed the bug I am unable to interact with the fast food bag when opening the glass enclosure. Will change my review to recommended probably once the bugs are patched but at this time I’d wait for the bugs to be patched
Fun simple game, Feels unfinished though and could use more stories or DLC

While the artwork, voice acting and overall aesthetic of the game was very good, the gameplay itself was just 'meh'. The stories themselves (only two) were droll and in some places, tedious to get through. I rather enjoyed the puzzles in the second chapter, as they presented more of a challenge and left me feeling accomplished after solving them. Chapter 3 was a complete joke. Instead of calling it Chapter 3, it should have been labeled as the Epilogue (then I wouldn't have been expecting to play through another comic book story). The ending was quite confusing , abrupt, and had me drowning in a well of disappointment.
Even ignoring the modern trappings that this game has in it, this game simply just isn't worth your time. There's absolutely no substance for the price point and what's on offer is mostly poorly written. The only thing it absolutely nails is the art style the series is known for. Personally I find this sad, because I really miss horror anthologies like this series and Tales From the Crypt. I bought this after having only watched Creepshow 1 & 2 from the 80s, and seeing this game pop up actually surprised me that Shudder/AMC revived the series a little while ago, which had me hyped as hell for this game. While I'm still interested in the newer TV series, this game utterly disappointed me and may even be the last game I buy from DreadXP and/or only game from PHL Collective.
Overall Rating: 8/10 - Very fun game that feeds off the fun comic book style Creepshow is known for. The stories are very well done and unexpected, and I genuinely love the gameplay style and graphics. I will say I was hoping for a more "finished" story on release, but it does seem the game is geared well to lead to more dlcs and stories to be added in the future, which is what im hoping for. Overall, do recommend.
Pros: - Art of comics and menu/UI is fantastic - Music - Voice acting - Liked the camp of the 1st episode with the *SPOILERS* bug wife and "kissing" her. Cons: - Chapters seems filled with fluff where either a task/game is repeated or you're walking around doing nothing - If opening my game and clicking off on something else, the game will refuse to finish loading to the menu and Task Manager can't even remove it so I have to restart my computer. - You can see through some walls in some areas. - Items that are picked up will reappear even though they're already in your inventory or notes. - You can pick up the same item or note several times. - Some puzzles make no sense or are really convoluted (mostly in the 2 chapter with the lock shed/back building and the confession puzzle). - 2nd chapter included some tasteless story beats including *SPOILERS* a dog being killed although you don't see it, but you do have to move its limp body into a grave and bury it AND they insinuate a woman and her unborn child are to be sacrificed somehow at the very end but we don't understand why really. - Some areas that should have invisible walls to prevent you from going to them earlier on don't (primarily in the 2nd chapter) so you waste a ton of time walking and exploring for literally no reason. - Walking animations of priest don't make sense for a person walking with a cane. - Ending seemed abrupt for 2nd chapter and also the game as a whole. Overall Opinion: With more love and effort, this COULD have been something, but instead they put out a seemingly unfinished product. This game needs a LOT more polish and editing in order to improve it. Would have made more sense to maybe go Early Access and then with fixing things along the way could have added new chapters later, but after this being my first impression... I will not be coming back to this anytime I don't think. :(
The concept and the art style have a lot to offer but I have to be honest this game fell on its face a bit. The puzzles were irritating for all the wrong reasons, the stories/characters weren't very well written. I won't spoil anything but the ending left a lot to be desired. TO the developers you have a cool concept please do something with it and don't be afraid to ruffle feathers, don't make bland characters and short sighted stories.
