Creepshow

Creepshow! What a surprise! I saw this pop up out of the blue and I had to get it! Now that I've seen everything the game has to offer, I'll give you my full review. (No spoilers!) Creepshow incorporates elements of walking sims, point and click adventures, and logic puzzles. The game includes one overarching main story, two separate explorable horror comic stories, and a handful of puzzles, as well as some hidden items along the way. It's a slow-paced game that doesn't demand stealth, timing, or any action skills whatsoever. (Even if you're all thumbs, it's not gonna be a problem.) Some people might be upset that the game doesn't have multiple endings. But as these stories are supposed to be comics that are being read, I feel that the relative linearity is understandable and appropriate. The plot in a comic book isn't going to be malleable, right? However, since there are missable items, I ended up playing through the game twice to unlock all of the achievements! The initial comic splash pages, narrated by the Creep, really took the spotlight. That's when it really felt like Creepshow. If you've been a fan of the Creepshow for years like I have, then I think this game was made for you. You should buy it. But I need to warn you to keep your expectations in check. It's quite short and it doesn't really have a big payoff. If your expectations are too high, I think you may be disappointed (which is why the reviews here are kinda mixed), but it's still very much worth buying if you ask me. Keep your expectations within reason, and you'll be satisfied with it, I think.
