About
Your Dungeon, Built by You [CreateDun]
Build walls, reshape paths, and hold the line with your allies.
This isn’t just about “placing” towers—set up walls directly on the map and redesign enemy routes in real time!
Where will the enemies flow? Which choke point will you focus your fire on? Who will act as bait?
The battle is decided before the first wave even starts.
Survive each fight to earn Relics and Marks that make your allies stronger.
With fresh choices every run, enjoy roguelite progression as you complete your build.
[Buildable Tower Defense]
Change routes by placing walls and control the enemy’s flow as you like.
Funnel them into narrow corridors for a wipe, or create detours to buy time—every battle depends on your strategy.
[Relic Combinations]
With different relic combinations each run, gain powerful traits and strengthen your allies even further.
[Roguelite Progression]
Use resources earned in combat to upgrade Orbs and hero allies, so next time you can venture deeper with more relics and stronger companions.
[Everything Depends on Your Brain]
No matter how strong your relics and allies are, if you can’t use enemy paths strategically,
your expedition will end in failure.

Some fun stuff. However, too much grind for too little gain. Too few maps becomes boring/tedious - needs new locations. No way to start over if you make bad decisions. Selling "towers" would be nice to regain gold or simply remove unwanted towers from inventory. Needs a "meh" rating. Still, I recommend it. Just wish/hope the devs will make some changes which could greatly improve the experience.
Somewhat unfinished, with some UI issues and balance issues. Can't recommend it in its current state.

As the developer of this game, I decided to leave a review myself. Yes, this is a self-review. Its biggest strength is that it has all the systems I personally wanted, so it fits my taste perfectly. Its biggest weakness is that I’m also the one suffering the most because of those same systems. Still, there’s definitely fun in blocking paths with walls, thinking through placements, and building combinations. I may not be entirely objective, but my playtime is pretty honest. If I’m still constantly working on it, I guess that means it’s fun. Recommended. And I love everyone who plays this game.
CreateDun is a roguelite tower defense strategy game developed and published by obscure that takes the familiar foundation of the tower defense genre and introduces an innovative mechanic that significantly changes how battles are approached. Instead of simply placing units and reacting to enemy waves, players are given the ability to actively reshape the battlefield by constructing walls and redirecting enemy movement. This core feature turns every encounter into a puzzle of positioning, route planning, and resource management, creating a gameplay experience that feels fresh despite its recognizable genre roots. The central objective revolves around defending against waves of invading enemies while gradually building a dungeon that serves as both a fortress and a trap. Unlike traditional tower defense games where the enemy path is predetermined, CreateDun allows players to manipulate routes through strategic wall placement. This freedom creates countless tactical possibilities. Long corridors can be established to maximize damage output, chokepoints can be engineered to concentrate firepower, and enemy movement can be redirected toward carefully prepared kill zones. The battlefield becomes an extension of the player's strategy rather than a fixed limitation. What makes this system particularly effective is how naturally it integrates with the tower defense formula. Every wall placement carries meaningful consequences, forcing players to think several steps ahead. A well-designed layout can transform a difficult encounter into a manageable challenge, while poor planning can quickly overwhelm even the strongest defenses. This constant emphasis on route design gives the game a unique identity and ensures that success relies on more than simply acquiring stronger units. The roguelite structure adds another layer of depth. During each run, players discover relics and upgrades that influence how their defenses operate. These enhancements often create powerful synergies, encouraging experimentation and adaptation. Since relic selections vary from one attempt to the next, no two runs feel exactly alike. Players must constantly evaluate new opportunities and adjust their strategies based on the tools available to them, which helps maintain long-term replayability. The relic system is one of the game's most engaging features. Rather than functioning as minor statistical bonuses, many relics significantly alter gameplay. Some strengthen specific units, others enhance particular defensive strategies, and certain combinations can dramatically reshape how an entire run unfolds. Discovering unexpected synergies and building strategies around them becomes one of the most rewarding aspects of the experience. Every successful combination feels like the result of intelligent planning rather than pure luck. Progression extends beyond individual runs through a system of permanent upgrades. Resources earned during battles can be invested into long-term improvements that strengthen heroes, unlock new opportunities, and improve future expeditions. This structure creates a satisfying sense of advancement even when a run ends in failure. Every attempt contributes to future success, encouraging players to keep experimenting and refining their strategies. The balance between temporary power gained during a run and permanent progression outside of it helps create a compelling gameplay loop. One of the most impressive aspects of CreateDun is its commitment to rewarding strategic thinking. Many tower defense games eventually become dominated by raw numbers, where stronger upgrades solve most problems. CreateDun places greater emphasis on planning and decision-making. Enemy routes, wall placement, unit positioning, and relic selection all interact in meaningful ways. Players who understand these systems and use them effectively will often outperform those who rely solely on powerful upgrades. The game's difficulty curve generally supports this approach. Early stages introduce the core mechanics gradually, allowing players to learn the fundamentals of route manipulation and defense placement. As the game progresses, enemy waves become increasingly complex and demand more sophisticated solutions. New challenges encourage players to rethink familiar strategies and continue experimenting with different dungeon layouts. Visually, CreateDun embraces a colorful pixel-art style that suits its fantasy setting. Character sprites, monsters, and environmental elements are presented with charm and clarity, making it easy to track activity across the battlefield. While the graphics are relatively simple compared to larger productions, the artistic direction effectively communicates information and helps establish the game's personality. The visual style complements the strategic gameplay without becoming distracting. The interface also deserves recognition for maintaining readability despite the growing complexity of each run. Important information remains accessible, allowing players to monitor enemy routes, evaluate defenses, and make tactical adjustments efficiently. A strategy game built around battlefield design requires clear communication, and CreateDun generally succeeds in presenting information in a way that supports quick decision-making. Another strength is the sheer creativity encouraged by the game's design. Because players are constantly reshaping the battlefield, there is rarely a single correct solution to any problem. Different layouts, unit combinations, and relic choices can all lead to success. This freedom encourages experimentation and helps ensure that victories feel personal. Players are not simply following predetermined strategies but actively creating their own defensive solutions. The game's primary weakness is that its strategic focus may not appeal to everyone. Players seeking fast-paced action, narrative-driven adventures, or highly cinematic experiences may find the methodical pacing less engaging. Many of the most satisfying moments come from careful planning rather than immediate excitement. However, for fans of strategy games and tower defense mechanics, this deliberate approach is likely to be one of the game's greatest strengths. Ultimately, CreateDun stands out by taking a familiar genre and introducing a mechanic that fundamentally changes how players think about defense. The ability to design enemy routes, combined with roguelite progression, meaningful relic systems, and rewarding strategic depth, creates an experience that remains engaging across multiple runs. Its emphasis on creativity and battlefield manipulation gives it a distinctive identity within the tower defense genre, making it a rewarding experience for players who enjoy planning, experimentation, and tactical problem-solving.
