Consistent errors giving bug reports in feedback tab so I'm leaving a review so they can actually fix the game. Experienced hard crash out of nowhere which made me lose 40 minutes of progress (during day cycle and not initating action so I do not know how to elaborate Repaired wall as it was being attacked which caused wall to be at full health but builder crab was stuck infinitely repairing wall until i made them stop but the ability to upgrade wall is not possible as i can only reinitialise repair. This happeded at first on a level 1 wall and i was able to recreate it on a level 2 later so I'm surprised it wasnt found. Consistent errors when trying to send bug feedback (with and without screenshot) The game seems pretty cool but its quite frustrating to like a game that has silly bugs and the feedback function is essentially just a 250 character notepad that clears itself when you send to get an error screen I'll remove this review when they allow for the ability to report bugs in game.
It's a nice little game with an impact in the real world. Playing and simultaniously doing something for the ocean is a definite win-win situation.
I liked the game and loved the real world impact idea (however small it might be). Was looking forward to completing the full run to see the ending. HOWEVER, a game where late missions tend to last an hour or more and autosaves only happen between said missions, does not have the luxury of crashing mid-level. That's a hard NO. Also, the UI is a rather lacking: when a wall gets swarmed by a ton of enemies, good luck clicking it to issue a repair order. Not gonna happen. On top of that, in my playthrough the walls became un-upgradeable at one point. In a nutshell, to many bugs for such a simple game.
A mediocre at best game that barely supports itself over a single playtime the roguelike elements are superfluous and tacked on and do not interact with the main game in any meaningful way on the whole nothing seems to interact with eachother very well and the tower defense aspects are barely feasible you can grow an ecosystem through planting and management, which is the most interesting part and perhaps the least connected to any other part of the game or mechanics. The difficulty doesnt require you to interact with most of the mechanics anyways but even if you try, losing isnt interesting or due to your own decisions
Cute crabs, always sad when one dies- dont get attached (╥﹏╥) you name them and everything. If you like multitasking and short paced strategy with nice visuals I would definitely recommend. Under appreciated game, if you share my tism this will be like crack for it
Lacking in the fun department. Beautiful but the mechanics are not really interesting.
if u like cult of the lamb u will like this
B E C O M E C R A B. On a more serious note I enjoy the mechanic of different run levels and leveling up your crablings between them, so progression doesn't feel stale and there's always a fresh goal to work towards. So far I've only played Cozy mode, but the difficulty is just the right amount of micro management, and the challenges add another layer of fun. Love the customization, even if I wish the treasure dig sites ere a little more generous in giving gifts and not just favor and food. Being able to color code the crabs for their roles has been a lifesaver. 1000/10 for the real-world donations to environmental causes. I do keep getting small glitches in my runs such as walls getting stuck on Repair when they're at full health (including right after I've built them to lvl 1), or some treasure dig sites being un-clickable. Also wish some of the Green Mussels would stop landing on hard to access places like beneath traps. And crabs and other fish can often get in the way of me trying to click on a mussel or even a plant/coral to upgrade. But despite the small setbacks I've been enjoying the game immensely and I plan to sink many more hours into it. NOW GO AND BECOME CRAB!
The graphics are great the gameplay loop is fun but gets old rather quick. More different enemies would help. The achievements are a chore. 30 nights is a lot and I don't know if the game can be in a world that long without crashing. A place showing all the perks, unlocks you have would make them feel like an achievement. More environments would help like different types of kelp forests. The ability to establish animals on maps that have the required plants would be good so you don't get 3 maps that don't have enough spots. An update with the above would make this game really fun. There's a whole world of potential inspiration in the ocean. tidal zones, orange kelp forest in California, purple reefs, crazy sharks, ground dwelling animals that blend in and they kill your crab if you don't have 2 attack at the same time. Being able to save during maps would also help. When the game crashes, you lose all the progress to an achievement like 30 nights.
