If I could give this "mixed", I could. As a "game", I give it a thumb up: Nice fun time sink of $3.99 (I think that's what it cost on release). Cheaper than an order of fries at mcdonalds. Typical roguelite though, getting screwed by RNG can end a run by the second stage, or you can turn your primary or secondary fire into an I_WIN button. The rapid fire long range laser pistol seems to scale the best. Enjoyed my time and the graphics are good. Missing keybind rebinds, though. *HOWEVER*, my reason for thumbs down is that this game neither uses Cloud (this lack of a feature can be overlooked), or does it use a basic save file location system! It took me almost an hour(!) to determine that it seems to be using something called "Playerprefs"--saving the game state data in the windows registry! This makes it absolutely impossible to transfer the save data to the Steam Deck, as I have no idea how to do such a thing under this condition! There is no local save file anywhere in the file system. Please create a proper save game data folder, and also allow custom keybinds, and I'll give this +up again, as I did enjoy my time playing the game.

Don't buy unless you hate content. Shell of a game, even for EA standards.

It's a great neon color sci-fi Bullet Heaven with lite meta puzzle aspects, I just wish it recalled my controller preference between sessions.

Short but nice take on bullet storm games. In the (brief) time playing this, was enjoyable. The developer is very responsive, friendly, helpful and takes suggestions seriously and fast (my windowed mode suggestion was done in a few days). Has some quirks but again good for the price. Tip: Once you find the armor + weapon meta the game is ridiculously easy. A fun ride.

For a full release, there are so many sloppy irritating pieces that could easily have been fixed. Walking diagonally into a wall slows you down as you bounce off it every frame, for example. The introduction phase is handled poorly, and the meta-progression evolves far far far too slowly to make a difference. I played for a little over an hour and got enough meta-currency to unlock one weapon (smg), which did not appreciably alter the playstyle of the game, and the remaining weapons are all 'plasmified' versions of purely mundane weapons. Laser shotgun, plasma rifle, pulse grenade launcher. The creativity on display is truly underwhelming. On the plus side, the graphics and sound design are decent and it sort of supports controllers if you take the time to fiddle with steam input settings. There are many other games that do everything better. Go play one of those.

Had a few of my friends try out Cosmic Coliseum during a party I hosted, it was fun to see my friends get demolished by the slow starter-bugs. Made me feel better about how early I died. Would like to mention how much I liked the introduction scene! My friends commented that there is a bit of a learning curve, perhaps a tutorial or signage for the upgrades room to make things more clear for new players I liked seeing the different builds my friends tried out - the variety of playstyles such as stationary shooting was cool Looking forward to seeing updates in the future!

Cute and fun game i enjoyed playing it a lot. There are definitely bugs and some QoL changes that could be added but all in all it is very enjoyable.

Brilliant game! The visual effects and eye candy are amazing and crafted with care. Gameplay is challenging and very addictive. Highly recommend!

I like the game a lot. It plays smooth, it is not easy, there are missions and there is a story. It is not a big game, but I died a lot and needed the permanent upgrades. It goes slowly. But I really like the grinding part here. I always have the feeling that I can make it. So I try it again. I also like the graphics a lot. It is colourful, bright, nice explosions. Especially for this price, this is a must play. I really hope there will be a second part that is bigger, longer and deeper. It plays very good, it is solid. Sometimes it can be too much and confusing. You don't know where you are anymore. And there were some bugs, but they are fixed. The powerup system is also great. Simple but enough depth to play over and over for more combinations. I want more! :)

Very fun with cool weapons, progression and lots of explosions.
