About
A city built on sacred ground should never have existed. Now, the spirits demand retribution. There are certain places that humans should avoid; these locations become powerful magnets for human misery and tragedy. As a paranormal investigator, my job is to document these areas and show the world that the boogeymen are real.
Hi, welcome to my world. My name is Terrance, and along with my best friends, Tracy and Vivian, we document the paranormal. Join us on our nightly investigations. As an investigator, your task is to uncover the truth behind the hauntings in a newly developed town. Each case uncovers clues about the forgotten legends of the past and the dark mysteries that envelop this town.
You will encounter things you wish you had never seen, and they will haunt you for life. You will have to confront and defeat the boogeymen of your nightmares. In a terrifying confrontation with a malevolent force, you will narrowly escape death—only to awaken with unusual new powers.
Now, you must not only survive the hauntings but also master your newfound abilities to close the portals that are unleashing horrors into the town. Each investigation will test your wits, courage, and willpower as the boundary between worlds continues to shrink.

Typically i don't leave reviews, but this is almost comically bad. I am sure once you get past the intro house level it's good, but i can barely get past that without the game bugging out entirely. When you get the first scare your head never stops shaking even with camera shake and head bobbing disabled. Then sometimes when you read notes they just stay on screen even when you try and close them. Now i am sure if there are updates to the game, like major updates this game can be playable. I'm only a half hour in, and it's just bad, so so bad, the voice acting is also pretty bad too.
There's great potential here, but there are way too many bugs right now and no checkpoints for you to reload to get rid of said bugs. Love the grimoire lore and the scares are good but it genuinely needs some more work, especially in resolving objectives, the game recognizing your evidence/experiences and getting rid of evp text bugs for a start. I hope the creator keeps working on fixing bugs and improving qol as well as better controller support/mapping. I reckon I'll check back in a few months and see if there's improvement because you can see the love for the genre even in its current state. For now, I can't recommend it though I hope to you in a year or so.
i really had high hopes about this one BUT i m stuck in the first tutorial house, theres no guidance at all except at start that tells you to take some emf readings and spirit box, after all even though i m getting more spirit box responses the ghost appeared in front of me, and scare me when i go outside to the girls and try to say that the house is haunted they say that i dont have enough evidences and theres no information about what i m suppose to do ... Also the devs dont even have a discord server to get in touch with them or socials or anything at all... i m gonna leave a negative review for now until the devs hopefully fix the game and release an update to walk us through ... if they do i m gonna stream the game again and change my review but for now its not friendly at all ...and i m a very experience player when it comes to ghost hunting games ...
Seems alight for the price. It is playable have to be careful where you meditate. When you do the sensory deprivation don't talk to them again if you leave just have them disappear first or text will stay on your screen. Voice Acting is AI but better than none? Basically you just run around with the emf and wait for the blink then use your evp to progress story line. If you bug out you have to reload sometimes so you lose a lot of progress also cut scenes are not able to be skipped so you will probably spend about 2 hours before you beat the 2nd mission. Keep that in mind if you plan to refund. Plenty of content for the price. I guess if you bored i recommend this game
CORPOREAL lowkey surprised me. It's pretty cool. The trailer sold me right away because it looked creepy as hell, and honestly, it delivers. You play as a paranormal investigator going around a cursed town doing ghost hunts with EMF readers, EVP recordings, and all that fun stuff while trying to figure out what's going on. It kind of feels like a mix of Phasmophobia and Visage. That said, it being fully singleplayer is probably the biggest downside for me personally. I play almost everything with my duo, so I already know I won't be playing this much. The gameplay loop is pretty simple: explore, investigate, survive, repeat. It can get a little repetitive after a while and there's definitely some jank, but the atmosphere carries a lot of it. The game genuinely creeped me out a few times. It has that feeling where you're constantly waiting for something to happen and never really feel comfortable walking around. The voice acting is rough though. A lot of it sounds like people reading directly from a script with zero emotion. It's not game-breaking, but it definitely pulled me out of the experience more than once. My other big complaint is the amount of reading and dialogue. There's just way too much of it. I really wish more of that stuff was optional, moved into menus, or at least easier to skip. I'm here for ghost hunting and getting scared, not clicking through walls of text. There were also a few times where I wasn't really sure what the game wanted me to do next. I'd just be wandering around with my EMF reader waiting for something to trigger and hoping I hadn't missed a clue somewhere. There's some bugs and rough edges too, but nothing that completely ruined the experience. The biggest issue for me personally is the motion sickness. Something about the movement and the tighter environments absolutely destroys me. After about 30-40 minutes I need a break. Even with all that, I think there's a lot of potential here. The core idea is solid, the atmosphere is great, and when the game is firing on all cylinders it's genuinely creepy. If you're into paranormal horror and want something spooky to play solo, I'd say it's worth checking out.

CORPOREAL immediately overwhelms the player with large amounts of text about ghost types, gadgets and mechanics before throwing you into an extremely dark environment with barely any proper guidance. The game is clearly inspired by Phasmophobia, but unlike Phasmophobia this is a pure singleplayer experience. That makes the confusing mechanics and unclear objectives far more frustrating because there is no coop chaos or teamwork to make experimentation enjoyable. Most of the time I just wandered around in darkness without really understanding where to go, how certain devices worked or what the game actually expected from me. Instead of building tension, it mostly created boredom and frustration. The atmosphere has potential, but the onboarding and pacing completely ruined the experience for me. --- Step deeper into the darkness — discover more horror gems and nightmares. 💀 Follow our curator page: Sanctum of Horror 🎮 Watch the horrors unfold live on Twitch 📺 Full playthroughs & reactions on YouTube
