Loving the game so far, very friendly and helpful developers in the discord as well. after playing the game for 20 hours or so, its a lot more in depth then the style would have you believe from the different classes and how they work, to the diverse amount of spells that can do anything from give you resources, reinforcements during fights, and just straight kill you. The game is definitely worth trying at least if you like strategy games.
I hate to give this a thumbs down because the developers and players are clearly very enthusiastic about it, and it's cool that this started a text game on IRC. I've played games like this before and I enjoyed them even though I got totally wrecked. The character classes are cool and the tutorial was simple enough. But for some reason, my mind is rejecting this game. There's just no motivation or enjoyment. It's possible that I dislike the interface/art style, or that it's too complicated and I failed to take the time to learn it properly. I can't recommend something that I'm unwilling to play myself. So I opened the chat window and saw this: i feel like daddy took my allowance away *giggles* i got locked out for using a cowl ... its a 24 hour ban :) *is a bad girl* There's also a notification in-game that suggests joining a player alliance and the Discord server for a better experience.
Before I played Conquest!, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
I discovered Conquest! in a very different form around the late ’90s, when it was an IRC game. I played it for years and was proud to call myself a member of its community. Much has changed since then, but I was delighted to rediscover it this year. It makes for a much-needed change from the dopamine treadmills that constitute the modern gaming landscape. It’s gripping and fascinatingly deep, yet it has no ambitions of dominating your life. What’s more, in conjunction with the vibrant & helpful Discord server, the Steam edition is the strongest, friendliest version of it so far. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
It says if you loose you have to start over. And makes it seem like you can be attacked all the time and vampire class is missing.
What a fun game and totally free!! Made by what appears to be two or so people. Well done guys!
