Graphic is amazing, maybe is one of the most attractive fact I ever seen in my VR games list. Busy battle, you need to understand the time of countattack to stop enemy, or use teleporting to avoid be surrounded by enemies. Stand away from anemy and stand still will make quick recover. Boss is make you screaming and overwhelming if you don't battle tacticly. Other 2 weapons are fun as well, espacially the flying blade! Considering the price I will say it's definitely worth it!!! I played untill midnight and quickly fall in sleep:)
could have been a fair game but telaporting in this type of game really sucks
Pretty polished, nice enemies and environments. Low key dark soulsy vibe. Need to spam teleport like you would dodge rolling. Haven't reached the end yet, but presume it's going to be pretty short. Would like to have touch pad movement as well as the teleport.
Graphics are really nice, it seems that the developers put a lot of work on this and that's a good thing to point. But I paid for this game, it is not a free game so I have to be extrict in that area and expect more than just pollished graphics. The game is basically, boring. The teleport makes the inmertion loosy, the battles are simple (just swing the controller and eventually you will kill the enemy) and does not make you feel you are actually fighting a big monster, you have a big sword and you are constantly hitting rocks and the monster are too much and move fast not giving you the time to get the "feeling" you are in a cavern fighting. I know that this is my personal opinion, but that's what I felt when I played the game and I don't want to spend my time on the game (probably a mistake). Anyway, it is not an expensive game so if you want to have a game on your collection about fantasy and action, then give it a try but for me it didn't work as expected.
An overall great game, but the hit detection is so wonky. It's a short journey and you have only one weapon. Beating the game with a certain highscore will unlock the locked weapons. Doing counterattack kills and ultimate kills will give you a lot of points. The overall atmosphere and animation is polished and immersive so it's still a great game if you get used to the combat.
Conquer is a pretty classic action adventure game; Choose one of three weapons and swathe your way through hordes of enemies against a fantasy backdrop. On the surface it has a lot of ingredients that should make this a great game, but this melee game has one fatal flaw: It doesn’t do melee well. Depending on whether you choose a ranged or melee weapon will of course dramatically change the tactics involved with how you engage your enemies, but I particularly want to highlight the sword mechanics. Melee suffers greatly from the good old wiggle exploit and honestly enemies are thrown at you so frequently, in vast numbers and are such health sponges that if you try swing your sword realistically, you’ll find it is not an efficient or effective way of fighting. So,with the incentive to actually not swing your sword fully, I found myself, sadly, wiggling my way through the game. To add insult to injury, the weapons are wildly oversized, so combined with the fact they feel so weightless, it really doesn’t feel good at all. Funny enough, there’s special move your character can do which slows down time and lets you slice and dice enemies, very similar to Metal Gear Rising. This mechanic is really cool, and with the exception of Aeon is not something you see in VR games. I really wish the game had utilized that cool mechanic more, to create something unique rather than being another VR wiggle-fest. On the plus side, graphically, the game is outstanding. The character models and environment textures are incredibly good and and the animations are fluid and interesting. This is definitely the stand out element of the game and it’s clear the studio has an A team in their design department. Boss fights are also interesting, as they pit you against giant colossi which look really epic. Locomotion in the game is teleport only, which was fine for me but is sure to rile some people up. The good news however, is that motion sickness is non-existent. I really can’t say the storyline pulled me in, so overall I found Conquer to to be a pretty average experience; Not a bad game in its genre, but just not my cup of tea.I should also note, the game is only ten bucks even when it’s not on sale, so at a sale price it might be such as steal that you should check it out for yourself.
Boring. Wiggle the controller sword at stuff to kill it. There does not appear to be blocking or much further to do in this game.
Looks and plays like a fantasy VR gamers dream. This is a VR must-have.
Also neeeeee, was soll das. Also das was ich erlebt hab, sollte keiner erleben! Da ärgern einen sogar die knappen 5 Euro.
