For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Sorry but please fix your game, the Anomaly mechanic in combination with a countdown is working hideously. Very Frustrating. Rating: Dito: 2.4/5 Chat: 2.9/5 Gesamt: 2.65/5

This game has the potential to be a lot better. It may be worth getting on sale if you really like the genre and don't mind achievements that are basically impossible. Unfortunately it's still extremely janky so I can't recommend it. Some of that is potentially fixable, other aspects are more fundamental and show a lack of understanding of what made Observation Duty so fun. Problem #1: The load time. Absolutely awful, especially the first time you play. Based on the discussions at least one person had to refund the game because it simply wouldn't load. Problem #2: The FOV cannot be changed, combined with all the "spooky" (annoying) visual effects and the general darkness this can cause eyestrain and/or motion sickness. Problem #3: The stuttering and motion blur. I don't think there's supposed to be motion blur, but even with the graphics turned down it's a problem. Problem #4: The hitboxes, for both interacting with items and for taking pictures. You've really got to line up the pointer exactly precisely correctly. This can be especially challenging with the aforementioned stuttering and visual weirdness. It makes the candle and pool table puzzle unnecessarily tedious. Problem #5: The gameplay is difficult to the point where it ruins immersivity, especially if you're trying to get achievements (of the 12 achievements, only 1 has been gotten by more than 6% of players and 2 are at less than 1%). You basically have to speedrun, but with randomization you can't even properly do that. Problem #6: The randomization can screw you over. Some combinations are wildly harder than others, some candle combinations soft-lock you, and you may not find out for a while depending on which keys you find in which order. The brute memory box can also take different amounts of time randomly. The same goes for endless, if alterations occur in the wrong places in quick succession you're screwed. Problem #7: Jumpscare overuse. The first time a demon turns off the lights on you that's spooky, the second time in 10 seconds is just annoying. The same goes for the "creepy" sounds, and the demon showing up all over the place. Problem #8: Generic psychological horror game plot. You're playing as a guy with a dead wife and kid who feels guilty and is insane. This plot was overdone by like the second time it showed up. You're not PT, stop trying to be PT. Problem #9: The most damming problem. The game fails to induce the creeping sense of dread, weirdness, and "was that always like that?" that games like Observation Duty and Deathwatch do. Ultimately, The game design comes across as if it was tailored to look good in a letsplay video, rather than to play well. The main redeeming feature is the giant fish.
Opened up a new genre for me. Incredibly tense but never seemed unfair, and any jank mentioned in earlier reviews was not present when I played. I’m not a huge fan of the point-and-click style of observation games as it’s hard for me to stay immersed, but this was the game that made me realize that I am actually a fan of the genre in general. I don’t just want to observe the scary—I want to be in the scary. Looking forward to dev’s future projects!
never make a game again bro holy this is ass
Great game, just wish more pills would spawn throughout the game! The demon still jumped scared me no matter how many times I played it!!
This game is really freaking great! The puzzles are fun and (although not very scary to me) has some jumpscares! 10/10
This game is definitely one of a kind. It's a good mix of anomaly hunting and psychological horror. I was so confused at first but then I was hooked on finding my next clue. Highly recommend
