Wonderfully crafted game with soul and heart! The puzzles are fun and for some I would go to say that they are even innovative! The graphics are nice, the game runs well - no issues whatsoever. There is some pretty neat shader work as well. In overall, very enjoyable title! I'll keep playing and update the review as I go. My only issue with it is the somewhat unsettling design of the Splatians but it's a minor thing. For a solo developer, this is an A+ project!
Very good game, awesome gameplay style, and so much more. Go try the demo, and if you like the game, you can add it to your wishlist or maybe even buy it. Besides that, I am really grateful for what this game has become, and I will be happy if this game is released on consoles in the near future and is optimized. My Rating About this Game: Music - 10/10 Gameplay Style - 10/10 Voice Actors - 10/10 Compatibility - 10/10 And so much more…
Fun & Challenging Game
I've been having a blast melting my brain with the intricate puzzles in Colorblend FX: Desaturation. The graphics, lighting, and effects look great. While the mechanics are simple, the game presents some genuinely challenging puzzles. The dialogue is often funny, adding a nice touch of humor to the story that unfolds as you progress. And don't be fooled by the cute characters and bright colors—this game is quite challenging. As a Metroidvania, it's fantastic. You solve puzzles to unlock new gadgets and access more areas, which keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting. The game also features an awesome soundtrack that really enhances the experience. Desaturation is an indie game made by a solo developer, and given the amount of content, it's very fairly priced. I've logged nearly 18 hours so far and I'm still not quite finished—it's packed with content! I'm particularly a fan of the in-game arcade machine (with online leaderboard), which I've spent over an hour on alone. It's worth mentioning that you can unlock 69 different achievements, each with cool, unique achievement art, adding another layer of fun and motivation to explore every corner of the game.
Overall
Colorblend FX: Desaturation is a well-crafted and thoroughly enjoyable game. It's clear that a lot of love and effort went into its creation, and it shows in every aspect of the game. Whether you're a fan of puzzle games, Metroidvanias, or just looking for something fun and unique to play, this game is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended!
Wow, this ColorBlend FX thingy is pretty darn cool! Like, the world's all drained of color, but you get this neat power to bring it all back. Makes things real pretty, like someone splashed a bucket of paint everywhere, but in a good way! The puzzles are tricky sometimes, had me wracking my brain a few times. But that's kinda the fun part, right? Figuring things out and seeing the world come back to life, one splash of color at a time. And fightin' those colorful slime guys? Surprisingly fun! They're all wiggly and bouncy, but that just makes it more satisfying to splat 'em with your color power. The story's alright, somethin' somethin' about a dark dude stealin' all the color. But hey, who cares? Blasting color everywhere is awesome! This game's like a giant coloring book you get to walk around in, and it's totally worth checkin' out, especially if you like explorin' and stuff. Just be warned, it might make you wanna grab some paints and go crazy in your own room!
Despite not being my usual type of game, I found myself hooked almost immediately. The environment is relaxing, the music surpasses my expectations, the puzzles are fair but require some out-of-the-box thinking, and the platforming is reasonable. And those Slimes... They are another story altogether. The trailer was right; you'll die a lot, often because you failed to think ahead. You can usually avoid the Slimes unless you have to deal with them directly. Yes, I was dying to Slimes a lot, but after I understood how to deal with them, the game became more fun. The game starts quite linear, but once you enter the university, it becomes non-linear. In the Library, there's a book that explains what a Metroidvania is, and I realized that sometimes I miss an ability or permanent item to progress. The price feels fair, and there are environments in the trailer that I haven't reached yet. Definitely recommend! And maybe I should actually try other metroidvania games.
77% into the game currently and I am pleasantly surprised! I really like the mechanics and their utilization. Physics are a bit janky at first but you quickly get used to it. The game in general reminds me of Little Big Planet both in its silly and childish atmosphere and the gameplay. Dialogue itself is quite silly however, the grammar is a little butchered due to the game being translated from Bulgarian to English. This is okay, the Dialogue is still understandable. Lore is dope! The game is really chill; I don’t stress about playing “that one part” . Game is very bug free. Trust me I’ve tried and I’ve failed at finding anything meaningful that could be classified as a bug. My consensus is… I like it. I don’t regret my purchase and It’s been a good time. I’ve been thoroughly entertained. Good purchase (thumbs up) Here’s some oddities/complaints The game is shockingly religious. (Personally I don’t mind but you think “oh it’s a simple evil lord story” then the religious parts become very relevant) Bosses are infuriating and I don’t like them. I don’t feel like I’m exploring. Sure I am exploring but I am forced to go to that next destination and complete that area. The game is chock full of references. There are too many. An occasional reference from time to time is okay. For example
In the sewers there’s a puzzle referencing the WARP ZONE pipes from the original ‘Super Mario Bros’.
This is okay. But seeing
Amongus
breaks the immersion and feels like it’s trying to be quirky and cater to Gen Z.
Puzzle platformer with amazing sound effects, awesome design and a very fun story! Recommend this game for anyone who loves platformers.
This really reminds me of my childhood in a way, have some sense of Mario-like nostalgia in it. It's more polished than I expected and I love the music. Slimes are challenging, random, but maintainable. Puzzles need some logic and out-of-the-box thinking, and I still have a lot to play.

The game is fun to play, the puzzles are interesting and I can see the developer put a lot of effort into details. Each level feels different and unique enough to make you want to keep exploring. The story line is a little childish for me, but like I said the puzzles are good and the levels are fun to explore. If I would change something, I would add an option for easy difficultly. The first boss was too hard for me and I almost gave up.
