Even though the game is not purchasable anymore on steam, this joke of a remastered(yes, it's a remastered and NOT the 2.0 version of Colin Mcrae Rally) is so bad that it deserves a negative review. Probably the most infuriating thing about it is the physics of the cars, simplified to the point of either being almost non-exisistent(like the skill to learn to take corners correctly. totally useless here) or so over the top that it starts to be funny(the bumps on the road, which seem to be jumping pads of an arena shooter for how much they make the car fly in the air). Moreover, do I really have to mention the content of the game? 4 cars and 3 countries are nothing, this makes the total completion of the game a chore since you have to do the same races over and over again for a total of 8 championships. The cherry on top of this ♥♥♥♥-cake is the cpu, constantly cheating the finishing times of the stages, and mind you, this game is not hard, in any way.
Whoever made the australian roads deserves prison for life. Glad that this game is not available to buy anymore.

It's a great game, it reminds me of the classic PS1 style of gameplay.
Shortened and easy-fied version of the OG CMR2. You can drive messy and still finish first. Nostalgia glasses off - it's almost a mobile game now. Physics is ok-ish. Damage repair is simplified but keeps some of the OG spirit. There's no bias tweaking, no weather variable, no night stages. No choice of tires and so on. Get in, drive a few stages, get out - and be happy. For what it is - it's good. As a total remake of CMR2 - it's got 30-40% of the OG content. The achievements, the MINI, T16, 205B and so on are not here.
questionable mobile port without functioning controls - not recommendable
It is an easy chill game. No stress.
I honestly believe this was their attempt at making ps1 rom copies of the original 2 illegal or copyright because they had this as an option???? or some dudes showed comparisons of the ps1 version and this version and was like, we done super c00l
That was it? That was the Colin McRae Rally "remake"? THAT WAS JUST AN EASY-TO-100% MOBILE GAME SLOP PORT! At least it isn't as bad as Monster Jam: Battlegrounds.
i know this is a simpler version of the original colin mcrae rally games, but i am enjoying this quite alot as a casual game - just easy to get into and fun to try and get those tight corners right with the handbraking
