I Googled "Coffin Rot" before buying the game to see what the gameplay looks like.... I didn't expect there to be other results.
Cool
Coffin Rot Brewing Co. is a fun game that suffers a bit from menu and compatibility issues. Most of the game is easily playable but when trying to grab objects it can be a real pain. I had fun and enjoyed myself once i got use to how grabbing and navigating through the bar works. Worth a try for sure even though it is an older game! Gameplay: https://youtu.be/ddXP7vg749A
I've looked at the discussions parts as did most people because you can't drop items when you've picked them up. The controls are not suitable for Quest 3 at all even tho I selected correctly at the start. Almost non of the buttons work and you can't even open the game menu. Really poorly made I'd say. And I was looking forward to it:(
My aim is true mfer im locked in af
It rules!!!!
so fun
This game is quite nice in my opinion. Somehow, there are a few improvements I recommends: 1. let the pistol load itself once they spawn under the table. It will make player easier to manage their movements and timing to shoot the skeletons. 2. I prefer to use the bottom trigger to "hold" everything and use the upper one to shoot or enact something for my Quest 2. It might different from people to people, so it is less important. 3. Unlock more different weapons sooner and easier, don't just give me more pistols. I once have 8 pistols on my table and it is really not any help since they only have one bullet each time. 4. One thing I would say is to move the drink container to player's side instead of back, quick turning around and back and front make me feel sick after playing it for an hour. 5. Have you consider to add multi-player mode for players to help each other fight against skeleton? like a big bar in rectangle for 2 or 3 players to handle. 6. If possible, more language always good to have more players buying the game. 7. Have you consider to introduce the narratives or settings of this game? I think it will be nice that there is a little story line involves in the process. 8. Really good job, I looking forward for the update of this game.
I really, *really* want to give this game a good review, but for me it's simply unplayable. The game is not accessible enough, not for oculus players, not for anyone with a room that's the size of or smaller than the recommended size for VR. There is no option to either grab items beyond your reach or to make the bar smaller than it is, which makes the game unplayable if you're limited in playspace like I am. Besides that, the oculus controls don't work at all, it doesn't use the default oculus hand controls and the hands are offset from the controllers without a way to change their position. I requested a refund but steam won't give me one because I had purchased the game on release and only recently got my headset and play area fixed again. If you've got a pretty massive play area and you aren't using oculus I suppose you should give the game a chance, thought keeping in mind the max playtime of 2 hours so you'll still be eligible for a refund from steam.
If you can find a groove this game is actually really satisfying. You have to constantly mentally cycle through what your next move is and make quick decisions based on what will benefit you the most. Also ghost pirates. Also also the pistol mechanics are super responsive and gratifying. Worth a look.
