good and interesting story good gameplay a bit rough in the edges but despite that was a fun ride the story does a lot for the game I'll check the future of the team behind the game def recommend check it out
CODE Bunny is a tightly focused action-platformer that builds its identity around speed, responsiveness, and the seamless fusion of combat with movement. Developed by Team Seventh Star, the game doesn’t waste time trying to appeal to everyone—instead, it commits fully to a design philosophy centered on momentum and player mastery. From the opening moments, it becomes clear that this is not a traditional platformer where movement and combat are separate phases; here, every action feeds into the next, encouraging players to maintain flow rather than stop and think in rigid steps. The result is a game that feels almost rhythmic when played well, rewarding precision and confidence over cautious play. At the mechanical level, CODE Bunny stands out for how naturally it blends traversal with offense. Attacks are not just tools for defeating enemies but integral parts of movement itself, allowing players to dash through foes, extend airtime, and chain actions together in ways that feel both intuitive and expressive. This design makes even simple encounters engaging, as the goal is less about survival and more about maintaining momentum. The learning curve is approachable at first, but the depth becomes apparent as players begin to experiment with advanced techniques like canceling animations and optimizing routes. It’s the kind of system that invites repetition, not out of necessity, but because improving your execution feels genuinely satisfying. The dual-protagonist structure adds another layer of nuance. Axel and Hazel are not merely cosmetic swaps; they subtly alter how the game is played. Axel’s movement leans toward fluidity and speed, making him ideal for players who enjoy chaining long, uninterrupted sequences, while Hazel introduces a more deliberate and aggressive feel that emphasizes precision. This distinction encourages replaying levels to explore different strategies and refine performance. It also enhances the game’s replay value, as mastering both characters requires adapting to their unique strengths rather than relying on a single playstyle. Level design plays a crucial role in supporting the game’s core mechanics. Stages are compact but densely constructed, filled with branching paths, enemy placements, and environmental elements that reward experimentation. Rather than presenting a single optimal route, the game allows players to discover their own paths, making each run feel personal. This approach aligns well with the game’s emphasis on speedrunning and mastery, as shaving seconds off a run often comes down to finding smarter routes or executing sequences more cleanly. Boss encounters further reinforce this design philosophy, combining fast-paced movement challenges with patterned attacks that test both reflexes and understanding of the game’s systems. Visually, CODE Bunny adopts a vibrant pixel-art style infused with light cyberpunk influences. The environments are colorful and varied enough to keep the experience fresh, and the character animations do an excellent job of conveying speed and impact. Effects during combat are particularly satisfying, adding a sense of weight and intensity to each action without cluttering the screen. The overall presentation strikes a balance between energetic and readable, which is essential for a game built around fast reactions and precise inputs. Complementing this is a soundtrack that matches the game’s pace, reinforcing the sense of momentum and helping maintain immersion during high-speed sequences. While the gameplay is clearly the main focus, the narrative provides a modest but welcome layer of context. Set on the planet Lumna, the story follows Axel and Hazel as they confront the mysterious Mad Bunny organization and uncover a broader conspiracy. The plot itself is relatively straightforward, but the characters are given enough personality through dialogue and interactions to make the journey feel more meaningful. Optional segments, such as conversational interludes, help flesh out the cast and provide brief moments of downtime between the game’s intense action sequences. It’s not a narrative-driven experience, but it adds just enough substance to keep players engaged beyond the mechanics. One of the most commonly discussed aspects of CODE Bunny is its relatively short length. A first playthrough can be completed fairly quickly, as the game features a limited number of stages. However, this brevity is clearly intentional, with the design encouraging players to revisit levels, improve their times, and master the mechanics. Additional modes like speedrun challenges and boss rush extend the game’s lifespan, particularly for players who enjoy pushing their skills to the limit. For those who value replayability and mechanical depth, the content feels sufficient, but players looking for a longer, more content-heavy experience may find it somewhat lacking. Despite its modest scope, CODE Bunny succeeds because it executes its core ideas with clarity and confidence. It doesn’t rely on gimmicks or excessive systems; instead, it refines a single concept—fluid, movement-driven combat—and builds an entire experience around it. The result is a game that feels cohesive and purposeful, offering a satisfying loop for players who enjoy skill-based gameplay. It may not have the breadth of larger titles, but its focus allows it to deliver a polished and memorable experience within its niche. Overall, CODE Bunny is an excellent example of how a well-defined vision can elevate a relatively small project. Its strengths lie in its responsive controls, expressive mechanics, and thoughtfully designed levels, all of which come together to create a game that rewards dedication and experimentation. While its short length may limit its appeal for some, those who connect with its design will find plenty to appreciate and master. Rating: 8/10
really fun :]
loveliest little story!
XUnity.
Short but super fun platformer. Really well made with cool mechanics for each character
