About
Clairvoyance is a 2D tactical martial arts roguelike with an aesthetic inspired by 2000s era flash games and media.
Who are you?
You are a test subject in a world where human life is secondary to scientific progress. You were intended to be trained, studied, and disposed of.
You need to get out.
Hopelessly outnumbered and under-prepared, you have but one advantage: you know their next move before they even think of it. This, they could not have planned for. It's time to live or die as a person.
It's time to express yourself.
Clairvoyance features a grounded combat system inspired by real sparring. Footwork affects attack timing. Rolling with a punch can reduce damage. Different strikes have unique damage, reach, and risk.
This level of detail would be overwhelming in a traditional brawler. But in Clairvoyance, you're given foresight: a brief glimpse of where attacks will land before they happen. Reaction speed becomes secondary to positioning, precision, and timing.
Forget rigid animations and simplistic hitboxes. In Clairvoyance, you're in control:
Tight hitboxes on every limb
Fully independent head movement
Mid-attack micro-positioning
Combined, you can bob and weave around attacks like never before while simultaneously preparing your counterattack.
Every move has a starting and an ending stance. With this physical logic for combo creation and execution, make use of the natural levels of "friction" in using one move after another.
You can choose between a variety of fighting styles, each with unique movesets and passives inspired by their real life combat philosophies. The style you choose will define your approach to every fight.
-Highly customizable movesets
-Multiple weapon types
-Multiple characters, all with unique stats
-Powerful upgrades and items

very cool game
I will say that I love the concept and the brutal game-play, my only complaint is your control over your character is less impactful then I would like it to be. While the head/body control makes you feel like an actual martial artist the actual effectivness of it in the combat is really lackluster, most enemy attacks you try to "dodge" hit you anyway because of their size and your hitbox, to the point of kicking from a distance being the most effective option. Other then that small gripe i'm a really big fan of the concept and i'd love to see where the game goes from here.
I received this game by hanging around a friend and was presented a key, game has a very interesting combo system that i am not smart enough to master however i can only see development of this system getting stronger over time, highly recommended

Im a big fan of the xaio xaio series and stick figure flash when i was a kid so this was a must try for me, I like the learning curve of the combat system, how impactful each shot you throw and the different fighting techniques is huge plus for me. one cool thing i would like to recommend maybe is being able to shoot well jumping or doing a side flip shot with a shotgun or mac 10 lol. looking forward to it progress to 1.0
A fighting game with a unique identity and playstyle with a very enjoyable gameplay loop and it feels like it will have a very promising future
Based and fightclub pilled 10/10 looking forward to more ass kicking (this game kicks my ass)
