Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience.

Hours of fun
I love the game but also hate it, its extremely fun the first time you do a city, but you just end up in a repetition loop of creating new cities thinking it will be different or improving but its not your fault. The game feels shallow in a lot of aspects, here is all its major flaws (that would be so solvable if they tried) Scale and range, a huge hospital which would normal help tens of thousands of people has a radius of help of about 200 meters. Its miniscule! For small towns or villages where you want spaced out houses and gardens the range of things just feels stupid like the game isn't designed for it. For big areas it is also flawed, things like the cemetery literally do not work in large cities, you need one cemetary every block for any kind of success. Time and priority. Time in this game is so cartoonish its ridiculous, a day lasts about a 5 second pedestrian walk, doesn't line up with night cycle and just means it takes weeks for civilians to go anywhere, it really takes away from the experience and makes stats look stupid, priority links to this, a huge park in your town centre might get 4 or 5 visits a day if your lucky, when in reality it would be in the thousands. Roads and traffic, I said villages didn't feel designed for this game, but big cities might be even worse, traffic in extremely high density areas feels stupid, public transport feels like its been capped and just isn't used (you can't tell because the time is all messed up) Scale is also garbage, a 24 x 4 farm requires something like 60 workers!!!! When in reality it would take 1 at a push. Agent based simulation, some people love it. I hate it. Looking at one agent is cool and it may make your city feel "alive" but it just means your agents are brain dead and barely live a life, they won't travel more than 30 seconds to work, never go to parks or do anything other than walk around go to work and repeat. Its just boring and sucks. I would much rather my city be used realistic than be able to click on a blob called Jessica and watch her teleport to work rather than use the train thats available to her.
the greatest city builder of its time. aged like fine wine. curated by a community that cares
I love starting new Cities but I find it’s hard once a City is established to grow and gets quite boring. Still one of my favourite games.
Es macht spaß seine eigene Stadt zu erichten.
I have played this game forever, first on the Xbox now on my Laptop and it is so fun! Just being able to build whole entire cities is so fun, and the mods make the game so much easier! One thing that I would add is brushes for certain things like the bulldozer and trees, like on the Xbox so that you don't need a mod for that. 5 Stars!
Love this game!
good game
