City builders in general lie to their audiences. They promise an open sandbox to make the city of your dreams, and what you end up getting is a sloggy mess of a game that demands that you make a "money maker" city to finance the city of your dreams. The game never tells you to play it slowly, but punishes you if you try to build too quickly. And that's before the excessive volume of DLCs, and the fact that sometimes (like right now), the game simply just doesn't work. As of this writing, I cannot even launch the game because the launcher's most recent update has caused it to crash when attempting to launch the game from it. At this point, I think it is safe to say that all the good will Paradox built up is gone, and the revisited promises of the city builder have been broken as resoundingly as they were the first time they were made.
