Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
The first thing to know about this game is that it was made by a bunch of college students from SMU-Plano. It's also completely free and the only cost is your time (plus bandwidth). I always keep price in mind when deciding what score to give a game. Long story short, is this a good game? No. I wouldn't say it's a good game. Well, is it worth the download? Sure, if either you're interested in this type of game or want to support a bunch of college kids. At least give constructive feedback for them to learn & hopefully improve in the future. This game is a rhythm shooter for VR and you do shoot on the beat. So this game does get that correctly. There are technically 6 songs. There's 2 modes (2 guns or 1 hand) and there's a no-fail and sudden death option. You can also tweak the sound settings. You shoot these circle targets that contract and if you hit the target on beat, you get a perfect rating. If you're off a bit, you only get great or good rating or you can miss completely. Are the songs any good? In my opinion, no, but maybe you'll like them more than me. I said there's 6 songs, but it really seems there's only 2 songs and that there's 3 variations of that song in the menu choices. You will be pressing trigger a lot to fire your gun unless you enable the auto-shoot, but that would take away the point, wouldn't it? The graphics are very bare bones. Kind of ugly, if I'm being honest. The environment is just not that interesting to look at. The guns look okay, but shooting them doesn't feel all that fun or satisfying. You have a laser sticking out of your gun to help with the aim which you can't take off. Just overall, everything is rather mundane. Rate 5/10. I mean it is free & it's not terrible. I can't say it's good or recommend it to my followers really. Consider this a neutral review.

Very fun game. Feels like OSU! in 3d. I played through all of the songs and had a really good time. I highly recommend you try it. I hope you guys keep working on it! I would love to see more songs or custom songs as an option. Other modes would be interesting too like different color notes for left and right hand.
I wrote a review of this ealier, but here's a better version of it. This game isn't good, and isn't original in a lot of ways, but its a learning experience and I hope to see more from these devs. The concept is good but it just isn't executed well, and thats why I can't reccomend it. I hope in the future these devs can make a game that's as good as the ideas that they start with.
not sure what this was going for but doesn't feel fun to play, no feedback when shooting whatsoever there is 2 tracks just shooting a dot that moves
Everything is quite pretty but the game itself is tedious. You just follow a dot around and shoot it. I don't even know why there are 2 guns there's even a 1 gun option but that's just the same. And the music is not a thumping as others have described. It would have been far more interesting if you could just blast the scenery as that is very well done and you'd get more time to appreciate it.
Circuit Slinger is a free VR game that is a Rhythm game combined with a target shooter. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Was hard to play, you have to shoot with a rhythm and put your gun on the target right before the ball reaches next target. There are six maps to play. There is some instructions in the lobby. You have some choices in the lobby like how to make it Easy to play, but no score. For a university coding project, this is a good game. Try it, if you like Rhythm games.
Felt a bit clunky and unresponsive. Will say the game looked cool, but there's so many other better titles to try out than this one.
