Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

A late-90s inspired retro 3D horror where progress is biological.
You don’t unlock doors. No keys — you feed the Biomass Core.
CHWÆST takes place inside a living organism. Passages overgrow, corridors tighten, and the environment reacts to your presence.
At the center lies the Biomass Core (the Core) — the only way forward.
Your goal: complete simple objectives, bring offerings back to the Core, and push deeper until you find a way out.

The entire environment is a single organism that depends on the Biomass Core being fed.
When the Biomass Core is hungry — passages are blocked
When you feed it — the organism retracts and reveals new paths
Doors are replaced by tendrils. Keys are replaced by food for the Biomass Core.
find → grab → return → feed the Core
objects hidden in darkness that must be carefully spotted
small creatures crawling along the floor
organisms that hide or escape when approached
In the game, you are given clear objectives such as:
Active outgrowth: Mushrooms → Feed the Core (Mushrooms 0/6)
FEED THE BIOMASS CORE — RETRACT OUTGROWTHS (0/5)
Every trip deeper into the tunnels becomes a decision: how far can you go before you must return to the Biomass Core?

item placement changes each playthrough
you never fully know what you will encounter when you return to the Core
low internal resolution scaled sharply
limited color depth and dithering
classic 50/50 transparency effects
subtle geometry artifacts that make the world feel unstable
This is not meant to be pretty. It is meant to feel unsettling and unsafe.
a short, intense horror experience (30–60 minutes)
a unique mechanic centered around feeding the Biomass Core
exploration of dark, organic tunnels
minimalist rules and clear in-game objectives
If you enjoy horror that is mechanical, raw, and unpredictable — CHWÆST is exactly that.

graphics legitimately suck, it is not a style thing. Dunno why it is trying to be passed off like that but ooph. Lighting and shadows even in the intro are glitchy. The audio is bad too. oh my god shut up with the achievements, do you realize how horrible that is for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ story? every ten seconds i get pulled into some boop you got an achievement thing. advice: get rid of the (one man studio) from your credit. It is pretentious. People can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tell haha i wouldn't stick my name on this dude. What a shame. =/ I was looking forward to some kind of psycho vore story.

Chwaest is really disappointing the game is way too short and feels more like a demo than a full experience just when it starts getting interesting it suddenly ends also its not even that scary for a horror game it just doesnt create real tension or memorable moments.
I had fun with this. It's a short game, but I think the price is fair for the length of the game. My playtime says 35 minutes, and I was able to complete the whole game and unlock all of the achievements in that time. What really stood out to me though was how mechanically developed the game is for such a short title. Water sounds good and slows you down, the lantern you hold swings around as you move and has real momentum to it. There's an inventory system, stamina, jumping, light mechanics, crouching and crawling... It definitely feels like some of these were kind of put in as tests for the developer to flex their muscles; the lamp for example you can collect fuel for, turn on and off, refill, and it even dims the less fuel there is in it, but overall collecting fuel doesn't add a ton to the game, you never seem to be in real danger of running out and there is some ambient lighting that keeps you from being blind without the lantern on. But I also don't think it really detracted from the experience either. Atmosphere is nice and definitely had a creepy vibe to it even if it's not going to be the "scariest game ever." But an enjoyable experience, interesting concept for a game, and really I am totally fine with having games that are not huge experiences that take 5 playthroughs and 50 hours to complete. Sometimes a nice concise game like this is totally fine. The only thing that gave me trouble was the ending sequence, which I probably had more trouble with than most people do. But at least for me that wasn't a trivial section and did require me to kind of focus in. About the ending section:
The first issue was I kept getting stuck on the iron bars you have to crawl through. I don't know what t was since there are other sections in the game you have to crawl through and I didn't have issues with those, but I kept getting stuck. And then when I finally reached the ladder, a prompt to press Space would come up, and I thought maybe this was a quicktime event to climb faster. It's not, it just dismounts from the ladder. I am guessing maybe the ladder was intended originally to be used in part of the main game outside just the end sequence and was just cut, but if I am running and you put a button prompt in front of me, I am going to press that button. I understand that the ladder was probably a complete game object including the ability to mount and dismount, but I wouldn't throw up that tooltip if pressing space will cause you to fail the section because you're basically just letting go of the ladder and jumping back down. Maybe jumping can get you to the top faster and end the game quicker, but for me it just made me fall off and then die.
Super short but its not bad. Easy achievement farm while being a decent entry into a spooky game. Great for the kids.
Fun little game. Only critique I got is the running worms were a little to hard/annoying to pick up. Fun time for the price though! Hope there will be more games in this universe!
