Reviews
I recently bought it to see if it was worth it due to the 1.4 update despite all the negative reviews. I enjoyed the game a bit, but will likely enjoy it more as I delve into it. I am looking forward to what the next major update mentioned by the developer will be.

Chronicon: Survivors is an impressive evolution of the Chronicon universe, successfully adapting the franchise's action RPG foundations into a fast-paced survivor-style roguelike without sacrificing the depth that made the original game memorable. Developed and published by Subworld, the game combines relentless combat, meaningful character progression, and extensive build customization into an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly distinct. While it embraces the core mechanics popularized by the survivor genre, it distinguishes itself by incorporating RPG systems that encourage experimentation and strategic planning instead of relying solely on simple stat upgrades and random rewards. The gameplay centers on surviving increasingly dangerous waves of enemies while continuously improving your character throughout each run. Battles quickly escalate from manageable skirmishes into chaotic encounters filled with countless monsters, elite enemies, and powerful bosses that demand careful positioning and efficient use of abilities. Every level presents new opportunities to strengthen your character through weapon upgrades, passive skills, and unique modifiers that significantly alter how attacks behave. Rather than offering straightforward numerical improvements, many upgrades introduce new effects, elemental properties, projectile patterns, or attack mechanics that encourage players to craft specialized builds tailored to their preferred playstyle. One of the game's standout features is its rewarding progression system beyond individual matches. Resources earned during each run contribute to a large permanent skill tree that steadily unlocks lasting bonuses for future attempts. This ensures that even unsuccessful runs provide valuable progress, making every session feel productive. Players can also restore shrines dedicated to powerful deities, granting access to divine Avatars that provide Boons capable of dramatically changing the flow of combat. These blessings introduce additional layers of customization by creating powerful synergies between weapons, character abilities, and elemental effects, making no two successful runs feel exactly alike. Replay value is further strengthened through an impressive selection of playable heroes, each bringing unique abilities, passive traits, mastery bonuses, and exclusive weapons to the battlefield. Every character encourages a different approach to combat, rewarding players who enjoy experimenting with various builds rather than sticking to a single strategy. The combination of diverse heroes, extensive weapon enhancements, permanent progression systems, and countless upgrade combinations creates a satisfying gameplay loop that consistently motivates players to return for another run in search of stronger and more creative builds. The game also benefits from a variety of handcrafted maps that feature distinct enemy lineups, environmental layouts, random events, and memorable boss encounters. These differences prevent the gameplay from becoming overly repetitive while encouraging players to adapt their tactics depending on the challenges presented by each stage. Random encounters and special events further enhance replayability by introducing unexpected opportunities and dangers that keep individual runs unpredictable. This balance between structured progression and procedural variety helps maintain excitement even after many hours of play. Visually, Chronicon: Survivors remains faithful to the charming pixel-art style established by the original game. Detailed environments, colorful spell effects, expressive enemy designs, and fluid animations create battles that remain visually engaging despite the overwhelming number of enemies on screen. Combat effects are flashy without becoming excessively cluttered, allowing players to maintain situational awareness during the game's most chaotic moments. The energetic soundtrack and impactful sound design complement the fast-paced gameplay, reinforcing the excitement generated by every successful upgrade and hard-fought victory. The game's long-term appeal is strengthened by its commitment to continued support. Regular updates introduce additional content, gameplay improvements, balance adjustments, quality-of-life features, and new progression opportunities that continually refine the overall experience. This ongoing development demonstrates the developer's dedication to expanding the game while responding to community feedback, making Chronicon: Survivors feel like a project that continues to grow well beyond its initial release. Although the game delivers a highly enjoyable experience, it is not entirely without flaws. Newcomers unfamiliar with Chronicon's RPG mechanics may initially find the abundance of progression systems and upgrade options somewhat intimidating. The early hours can also feel slower before more characters, weapons, and permanent upgrades become available. Players expecting a traditional action RPG with an expansive story may likewise find the survivor-focused structure more gameplay-driven than narrative-focused. However, these minor issues are overshadowed by the game's polished mechanics, satisfying progression, and consistently rewarding gameplay loop. Overall, Chronicon: Survivors successfully blends the addictive nature of survivor-style action games with the depth of a traditional loot-driven RPG. Its flexible build creation, permanent progression, diverse roster of heroes, engaging boss encounters, and excellent replayability make it one of the stronger entries in the genre. By preserving the spirit of Chronicon while confidently embracing a new gameplay formula, Subworld has created a title that appeals to both longtime fans and newcomers looking for an action-packed roguelike filled with meaningful customization and lasting progression. Rating: 6/10
boring vampire-like, 0 interesting mechs
I do not want to give a comment. It is to much effort and I am to tired for effort.
This is a great little survivors-like game! The dev is engaged with the community as well and puts a lot of heart into his work. I've had way more fun with this game than I could have reasonably expected and this is just the kind of game that has kept getting better and better the more I play it. I've played other titles in this genre as well (e.g. Vampire Survivors, Brotato, and Holocure) and I can easily recommend this one alongside those. In case anyone is curious, this works really well on the Steam deck as well. 👍👍👍
Вторая часть она на то и вторая часть
It's alright
S'ils font ce qu'ils aiment tant mieux mais pas trop mon style, restez dans le hack n slash
一个幸存者游戏做这么难干什么,这类型的就是要爽。难度也太大了
