Seriously though, what happened is I played the game at the appropriate time of year, but forgot to write the review. This is the second Christmas Fables game I've played: the first one I played was [i]Holiday Guardians,[/i] started on December 25, 2024 at 5:30pm. I played [i]The Magic Snowflake[/i] somewhat earlier in the winter season of the following year, at 2:30pm on December 25, 2025. It's been over half a year and I've forgotten the game, but I still have my notes. Let's bang this review out! Once again, a Christmas Fables game stunned me with its incredible amount of generic secularized winter holiday artwork. It's gorgeous from beginning to end. However, while the game was released in 2023, the artwork is still visualized at a low resolution more suited to 2003. Weaknesses in the presentation continue with nauseating camera movements in cutscenes. The view makes wild moves: zooms, pans, tilts, etc. Competent adventure games give subtle directions in flavor text. Do Games' HOAGs give unhelpful text that's often nonsensical Engrish gibberish. I wrote down some examples, which I'll add to the end of the review. Despite these complaints, I always give Do Games credit for the extra object animations they add to spice up their scenes. I still wish they'd do the extra work to connect their in-game achievements system to Steam achievements. I've bought Christmas Fables 3- The Wishing Store, we'll see how soon in the holiday season of 2026 I'll start playing it! [i]“What is the point of a toy?
