Choices: Stories You Play

AI..? First they used AI to make the posters, now they’re using it to make the stories? There are people spending $15 a month for the membership just to read stories that were made by a computer. Really disheartening and unfortunate honestly. There’s no real passion behind any of the newer stories.

AI is degrading the stories PB is pushing waaay too many stories in a short span of time. It’s all quantity over quality now. The writing is facing a downfall & the visuals are mostly ai slop. VIP isn’t worth it if all the visuals are ai generated. It’s disrespectful towards artists. Some of the stories with AI have interesting writing, but an anti-AI audience won’t care about that. The older stories are the best part about this app. Please stop relying on AI & focus more on the quality of your projects.

Decline in Quality This used to be my favorite app, now it’s filled with “stories” that look AI generated with no originality. I miss when this app had good writing (and actual writers, it seems).

Quality has taken a nosedive. It’s embarrassing how bad the stories and “art” have gotten. Everything is churned out by AI now. Long gone are the days of masterful stories like Endless Summer, It Lives, and Blades of Light and Shadow. Just to rub acid in the wounds, the AI overlords are reviving long dead series and turning them into low-quality AI “shows” with zero interactivity or quality control to speak of. AI has not only killed this app, but has poised itself to piss on its grave.

AI TV has ruined it I’ve been playing high school it was great a loved all the stories but as this whole AI tv has started to ruin it especially Turning it lives within into a ai tv thing very disappointing I cancelled my vip subscription

AI Goonslop Loved the early stories (e.g. It Lives in the Woods, Veil of Secrets, Wishful Thinking), they were entertaining, engaging, and used REAL HUMAN ART. How are you going to make a game pay-to-have-fun then use AI to create the titles, characters, and probably stories (at this point they probably are AI generated). I genuinely used to love the stories, but now I just can’t with the AI slop.

The people want real art and stories! You say you’re listening to your audience and doing what people want, but what the people want is NOT AI. This app has turned into absolute garbage. Pixelberry is a lazy company trying to get money without doing any actual work. You will not be getting any money from me as long as the app continues to go downhill.

AI Garbage I’ve been an artist and a writer all my life and used to love what the team at Choices created. I’ve supported this app loudly since the day it came out. If you’re switching to anti human AI garbage to finish stories that real people once put their hearts and souls into, I don’t even have words to describe my disappointment. I know you won’t care about this review because you care more about the money now. But I am about as heartbroken as a person can be.

Unplayable I played for 9 years and loved the earlier stories. I hung in there when books got shorter and plot lines got messier, but it’s past the point I can tolerate. Even the supposedly traditional newer books reek of AI slop with plot holes and repetitive dialogue. I wish this were still a human-driven company bursting with dedicated and creative staff, but the layoffs and money grab have made it a shell of its former glory. Cancelled my VIP and no longer play.

Cash Grab The stories are amazing, but the amount of diamonds you need to get good choices is INSANE. It’s horrible. And you don’t even get that many from completing chapters or doing those small quests. It’s pathetic that you need VIP for an outrageous FIFTEEN DOLLARS A MONTH just to get TWO more diamonds for each chapter. Absolutely horrible.
