About
CHESS with LASERS (previously called Deflection) strategy board game, inspired from the classic Laser Chess games and the famous board game Khet. Move and rotate different pieces to destroy the enemy with your laser!
With a variety of pieces each having different advantages, abilities and weaknesses, use the one move you are allowed per turn to strategically bring you closer to victory. Enemy mirrors, Disruptors, Portals etc. can be used to your advantage!
At the end of every turn, you must shoot your laser... be careful not to hit your own pieces!
We're working on a Roman Survival City Builder/Colony Sim, check it out!
Play with your friends in the same room (local multiplayer/same PC) or remotely in the online multiplayer game mode, to show them who is the best!
Create Levels in the in-game Level Editor! Play them in Local or Online Multiplayer with a friend (without having him to download anything), or against the AI in Singleplayer. (Steam Workshop integration coming soon).
To win, you have to destroy the enemy's king. Most pieces can move in all directions by one cell and rotate 90 degrees, which constitutes one move. Advanced pieces such as the Disruptor can disable and weaken nearby pieces, Splicers split your laser into two, and others like the Portals can be used to surprise your enemy from behind!
Green pieces can be controlled by both players, which provides a new twist in your strategy.
Your friends are unavailable or you want to practice? Don't worry, you can play against the AI in the same scenarios/maps. The tutorial mode will guide you through the rules and useful tactics.

I played a little and got interested. I would like to see a similar game for VR.
The game has many possible scenarios, which allows you to train strategic thinking. The visual style is presented in a neon style. I think that from time to time I will return to this game.
If you like to play chess and have some sci-fri of it, you have come to the correct place, this game have chess with laser that spice thing up. Here at this game you can use different type of piece for your own each strategy. What more you can create your own custom map and play with your friend to have some fun.
Deflection is a great alternate for chess players if they want to try something new. It is a fun and great concept of a strategy board game. its great to play with friends whenever you're bored. The level creator is pretty great for fun and silly maps to be played. There will be bugs but most of them will be found and patched. Overall this game is fun and I recommend trying it out. good game, but dont play against the ai. say for example the ai moves a green piece from one square to another. you will see that you cannot move that green piece to the square that it previously occupied. HOWEVER, when YOU move the green piece from one square to another, the ai CAN move your green piece back to its original square. so the ai can make a move that you cannot legally make yourself. i cant imagine that this is an intended part of the game, because then it just turns into a situation where the ai will move a green piece somewhere that threatens your king, so you move the green piece elsewhere, but then the ai just moves it right back to the same spot. rinse and repeat until youve died of boredom, or until you just let the ai kill you.

it's fun
I was a beta tester for the game during the summer, and felt it was really going somewhere. It turned out beyond my expectations! The game kept upgrading, both graphic-wise and strategy-wise, as the developer added new pieces and maps each time more complex and fun. Also, the addition of the level editor makes the game all the more replayable. You should definitely buy the game, even only to support the developer. To make it short, the game is awesome!
Not a bad result for an indie developer. To be honest, I thought it would be worse.
Synthwave + Neon world + Strategy. A rare combination, so it deserves special attention!
